MIRO s mineral 2012 The Mineral Industry Research Organisation, in association with the Mineral Industry and the University of, is hosting its Annual International Conference which will address research and its practical applications in the mineral sector. revious MIRO s have attracted a large number of speakers from the industry and academia with delegates and exhibitors from the UK and Continental Europe. The is aimed at stakeholders including aggregates and mineral processors, specifiers, clients, designers, policy makers, planners, local authorities, consultants, construction companies with specific interest in the development and management of sustainable aggregates production, environmental protection, energy reduction and innovative technologies. It will provide a unique setting within which to share and explore new ideas and to review innovations in the following thematic areas: (1) Innovative technologies, (2) carbon dioxide capture and saving, (3) Sustainable roducts and materials and (4) Health and safety. It will consider materials technology, manufacturing and processing techniques and end product characteristics that satisfy ever more demanding design, planning and environmental requirements for development. The will take place on Thursday 28th June 2012 at the University of located in the West Midlands. Eminent speakers from industry and academia invited from UK and Europe will present state-of-the-art information on a wide range of topics ranging from innovation in materials to cutting edge technological developments.
