3 Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO) o SecuRate Air Private o SecuRate Air Net SecuRate Air provides customers the ability to create an agreement/fare database for travel between two specific cities or among an unlimited number of origin and destination cities. Agreement fares are the fares created in the SecuRate Air Direct database. Once the contract between the airline and the agency has been negotiated, the agency inputs the fares into the system using a series of templates. The fare is created under an Agreement Number, which is used in faring and pricing a SecuRate Air fare. The agency has complete control over these types of fares. The Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO) is the middleman for publishing fares. The airlines send ATPCO the negotiated fares agreed upon between the agency and the airlines. ATPCO manually codes the fares and sends them electronically to Worldspan. Worldspan releases the fares in the system. Only the specified SIDs can retrieve these fares. There are two categories of ATPCO fares: SecuRate Air Private private fares filed by the airline via ATPCO. SecuRate Air Net net fares filed by the airline via ATPCO where the agency has the ability to mark-up the fare to a higher fare based on guidelines specified in the rules given by the airline. 10/23/2002 Page 3

ATPCO has a set of different requirements, which is discussed later on in this class. To display SecuRate Air Agreement fares, the agreement number must be appended to the end of the fares display request. A maximum of 10 agreement numbers or 1 Corporate Identifier can be added in a single entry. Let s look at a fares display using SecuRate Air Agreement number PQ2DLPAR 3. The agreement number listed in the last column of the display reflects the agreement database where the fare is housed. In this example, the agreement number PQ2DLPAR appears in the last column indicating the fares have been created under the agreement number PQ2DLPAR. If multiple agreement numbers are requested, each agreement number appears in the agreement number column to specify which agreement the fare pertains to. When the SecuRate Air agreement number is appended to the pricing entry- the system checks for the lowest fare including published and the specified SecuRate Air agreements. A total of 3 agreement numbers or 1 corporate identifier is allowed in a single Power Pricing entry. The option of.sr appended to the any pricing entry indicates the system checks only SecuRate Air agreement fares. 13. 14 Note that the Agreement Number field is included in the response to indicate the agreement number for the fare. PowerPoint - 05 Agreement Fares Guidelines: Rate Desk Priced, Low Fare Recheck, and Non-Itinerary Pricing are not applicable at this time with SecuRate Air. Surface-to-turn around pricing is not recognized by SecuRate Air. An itinerary prices with an open jaw instead. Both the outbound and the return itinerary dates must be within the contract dates or the SecuRate Air fare does not price unless otherwise noted in the agreement. These are just a few of the guidelines when faring and pricing itineraries using SecuRate Air. For a complete list, please see Agent Assistant SecuRate Air. Now, let s take a look at SecuRate Air via ATPCO. Airlines can file contract fares for selected users with Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO). The airline designates who may display and ticket these fares by IATA number or SID. Usually these fares will have a ticket designator code appended to the fare basis code and are separated by a slash. ATPCO fares work a little differently than SecuRate Air Agreement fares. With ATPCO fares an agreement number is not necessary for faring or pricing an itinerary. 10/23/2002 Page 14

There are only 2 differences: Entry SR FARES (at the top) QX5153/P Description Indicates these are SR fare types The /P indicates there is a ticket designator which begins with P attached to this fare basis. In most cases, this indicates this fare might be a negotiated fare, but not always. Some published fares have ticket designators as well. Only 8 characters are allowed in the FARE CODE column. This display is used for a quick look at specific information required by the airline to use this particular rule. In this example, there is a specific PTC, which must be used in the PNR in order for this fare to be applicable. Toward the bottom of the display, the PTC code PCF is found along with an explanation this fare is a Proprietary Contract. For a complete list of all PTCs, refer to Agent Assistant PTCs. This rule display does not include information such as Seasonality, Min/Max days or Blackout dates. An entry of 4F.R1 can be used to view this type of information. SecuRate Air via ATPCO fares can also be displayed with published fares by using the fare types SRN (SecuRate Air and Normal fares) or SRX (SecuRate Air and Excursion fares). These fare types can be used in conjunction with Airline Specific, Multi-airline, and MoneySaver fares displays. 10/23/2002 Page 17

Many airlines file their negotiated contracts with ATPCO using a specific Account Code which is provided to the agency.
