We then mve up the picturesque West Cast and Cape Winelands, discvering the epicurean delights f Langebaan, Paternster, Stellenbsch and Franschhek. Frm here we visit the Klein Kar via majestic muntain passes and the scenic Rute 62. 3 CAPE TOWN * Day 1 Airprt pick-up and transfer t ur luxurius butique guest huse in Cape Twn. After freshening up, we start ur guided walk f Cape Twn city centre and get familiar with ur surrundings. We have a strll thrugh the beautiful Cmpany s Gardens and explre the city centre. Alng the way we pass many great spts fr lunch. The pssibilities are endless; Cape Malay curries, Indian bbties and breyanis, fresh sushi r even a famus Cape Twn Gatsby sandwich We are sure t cme acrss smething yu will enjy. After lunch there is sme time t relax r take a cling dip in the pl befre we set ff fr Table Muntain. This icnic muntain symblises Cape Twn and ffers amazing views f the city and its surrundings. At night we have ur wn prudly Suth African Braai (BBQ) and Ptjie at ur guest huse. * Day 2 After breakfast at ur guest huse, we take a shrt ride t the B-Kaap. The heart and birthplace f Cape Malay and Muslim cuisine in Suth Africa. We g n ur wn spice rute thrugh this quaint sectin f Cape Twn. Fr lunch we are jined by a lcal chef wh will teach us the secrets behind sme f the tastiest Cape Malay dishes. In the afternn we are free t visit the V&A Waterfrnt and its cuntless shps and restaurants. We can als arrange a visit t Rbben Island fr thse interested. 4 EXPLORING THE CAPE PENINSULA Cnstantia t Cape Pint * Day 3 After breakfast we visit Kirstenbsch Natinal Btanical Gardens, ne f the great btanical gardens f the wrld, majestically set against the eastern slpes f Cape Twn s Table Muntain. We then visit Klein Cnstantia Wine Estate. The Cnstantia valley is the ldest wine rute in the Cape. Klein Cnstantia has helped t reclaim its frmer glry by initiating the revival f its wrld-famus sweet wine, Vin de Cnstance. Klein Cnstantia's wines regularly receive acclades, bth lcally and internatinally. Gurmet Lunch at La Clmbe n the Cnstantia Uitsig Wine Estate. Chef Luke-Dale Rberts award-winning restaurant needs n intrductin. It cnsistently ranks as as ne f the tp 20 restaurants in the wrld. We then drive t ur new guest huse in Scarbrugh via Chapman s Peak Drive. En rute we pass the quaint fishing villages f Hut Bay, Nrdhek and Kmmetjie. Chapman s Peak Drive is withut a dubt ne f the mst scenic and beautiful rutes in the wrld. This drive ffers plenty f pprtunities fr amazing pictures f the Sentinel and ften spectacular sunsets. We arrive at ur guest huse in Scarbrugh. A hidden treasure surrunded by muntains and ceans where we will spend a luxurius and relaxing evening. * Day 4 After breakfast, we leave early fr Cape Pint Nature Reserve. N visit t Cape Twn wuld be cmplete withut a visit t the Cape f Gd Hpe. This dramatic spt ffers views f massive sea cliffs, strng ceans and varied fauna and flra. Frm Cape Pint we make ur way t the Penguin Clny n Bulders Beach. Here, a clny f African Penguins entertains turists and is ne f the icnic sights f Cape Twn. We have lunch at Harbur Huse restaurant verlking the beautiful False Bay. In seasn we can even spt sme whales in the bay whilst having lunch. After lunch we take ur time t visit sme f the chilled-ut fishing villages alng the False Bay seabard such as Simn s Twn, Fish Hek, Kalk Bay, St.-James and Muizenberg. 5 WEST COAST LANGEBAAN & PATERNOSTER * Day 5 Breakfast at ur guest huse in Scarbrugh. We drive alng the Atlantic seabard and make ur way up the West Cast. Alng the way we pass interesting stps such as Llandudn, Camps Bay, and Green Pint. Arund nn we arrive in Langebaan, hme t ne f Africa s mst beautiful lagns. Here we will have lunch at De Strandlper restaurant. This restaurant is famus with lcals fr it s relaxed, penair atmsphere and seafd f the highest quality. We sit with ur feet in the sand next t the Atlantic cean with a great view f the nearby lagn. There is live music, and every kind f seafd, frm black mussels t crayfish, is served ver a leisurely three t fur hur perid. After lunch, by which time it s already late afternn we will take a shrt drive up t Paternster fr a relaxing walk r sme time n the beach. We spend the night at ur wn private self-catering hliday hme right n Paternster beach. 5

6 WESTERN CAPE WINELANDS The beautiful Winelands arund Cape Twn are ur next stp. Frm ur base in Stellenbsch we discver the many award-winning wine estates and restaurants in this epicurean paradise. * Day 6 We g fr breakfast at the Oep Ve Kep shp. A great little shp that serves the best in lcal prduce and ffers the tastiest breakfast alng the West Cast. Here yung chef Kbus van der Merwe uses lcal ingredients, hme-grwn veggies and fresh herbs t give yu a delicius start t yur day. We leave Paternster and drive twards Stellenbsch. Alng the way we may visit!khwa ttu, the San Educatin and Culture Centre. The centre shws us the wrld f the first indigenus peple f suthern Africa. We can als have a light lunch at the!khwa ttu restaurant r further dwn alng ur rute. After lunch we pay a quick vist t the Taal Mnument in Paarl. This mnument chrnicles Suth Africa s linguistic histry and ffers an amazing view f the Cape winelands. We visit the KWV huse f Wine and Brandy where we ll taste sme award-winning wines and brandies befre ur arrival in Stellenbsch. We check in t ur Stellenbsch guest huse. We can g fr a shrt walk thrugh the twn centre and have dinner at ne f Stellenbsch s many great restaurants. * Day 7 6 Breakfast at ur guest huse in Stellenbsch. We take a drive thrugh the Cape Winelands t Franschhek. This little twn calls itself Suth Africa s wine and fd capital. Like Stellenbsch, it has many tp-class wine estates and restaurants. Alng the way we will sample sme delicius wines at varius estates. Lunch is smething truly special tday. We will enjy an elabrate gurmet meal at ne f Franschhek s tp restaurants such as Le Quartier Français, La Petite Ferme, Bread & Wine, After lunch we have sme time t explre the little shps and art galleries in Franschhek. There s is als a special crcdile-breeding farm, the French Huguent Museum and the Franschhek Mtr Museum which we can visit. In the late afternn we make ur way back t ur guest huse in Stellenbsch fr the night.

7 * Day 8 Breakfast at ur guest huse in Stellenbsch. We g t Jrdan wine estate, ne f the cuntry s tp wine estates. The chef here is Gerge Jardine, ne f Suth Africa s best chefs and winner f many culinary awards. His cuisine fcuses n lcal prduce and shwcases sme f the best ingredients Suth Africa has t ffer. He will take us thrugh sme f his great dishes and ffer us a cking and bread-making wrkshp. After lunch at Jrdan, we take a strll thrugh Drp Street and visit the Village Museum in Stellenbsch. The histric centre f Stellenbsch and the quaint Village Museum ffer a glimpse f what life was like in the early days f the clnial settlers. Fr thse still hungry we can recmmend a lvely restaurant t g fr dinner. * Day 9 Breakfast at ur guest huse in Stellenbsch We make ur way alng the N1, g past Paarl and crss the scenic Du Titsklf Pass. We then leave the highway and travel alng the R62. This rad is withut a dubt ne f the mst beautiful rutes in Suth Africa. Perhaps nt as well knwn as the Garden Rute, but just as much f a must-see in terms f its amazing panramas, dramatic muntain passes and lvely quirky twns. Alng the way we make time t stp at a few petite farm stalls and sample sme lcal delicacies in Mntagu s we dn t g hungry. We als visit the vineyards arund Calitzdrp, renwned fr sme f the best prt-style wines utside f Prtugal. Befre we reach ur stpping place fr the day, we have a quick lk arund Oudtshrn and g t see ne f its many famus strich farms. We arrive at ur destinatin in Prince Albert, a rmantic little Kar twn that will be ur hme fr the next days. Fr dinner we have a chice ut f many fine restaurants alng the main rad in twn. 7

8 KLEIN KAROO & GARDEN ROUTE Prince Albert, Knysna & Plettenberg Bay * Day 10 Breakfast at ur guest huse in Prince Albert. After breakfast we are jined by ur gastrnmic guide fr the day, chef Vanie Padayachee. She ll take us under her wing and shw us arund her adpted hmetwn. We ll explre the lcal fig and live rchards and learn sme mre abut this little village s clurful past. After lunch, Vanie treats us t a cking class shwcasing sme typical Suth African ingredients. She will happily share sme f the techniques and secrets f the trade that made her ne f Suth Africa s tp chefs. After an afternn f cking and hning ur culinary skills, we can have a relaxing strll thrugh twn r just relax and take in the views f the surrunding Swartberg Muntains. Fr dinner we get a chance t taste a gurmet meal at Vanie s African Relish kitchen. * Day 11 We have breakfast in Prince Albert befre we set ff ver the sensatinal Swartberg muntain pass. After the pass we visit the Cang Caves, a natinal mnument and a must-d n any trip t the Kar. On ur way t the Garden Rute we stp in Oudtshrn fr a quick bite t eat and a visit t ne f Suth Africa s best chclate makers, Rcc Chclates. We then g past Gerge and hit the Garden Rute, withut a dubt ne f the mst famus and scenic rutes in the wrld. Our base here is Knysna, a small twn f legendary beauty with green hills, clurful characters and an enchanting lagn. We arrive in the afternn with plenty f time t relax r t explre the beautiful twn centre and waterfrnt. Late afternn, we head ut nt the Knysna lagn and the Knysna Heads Nature Reserve. By sunset we ll have a fresh ysters and champagne dinner in the middle f the lagn. 8

9 * Day 12 After breakfast at ur guest huse, we visit the Knysna Elephant Park. Here we get a rare pprtunity t tuch and feed adrable baby elephants. We have lunch at the Île de Pain bakery n Knysna s Thesen Island, run by masterbaker Markus Färbinger and his wife Liezie. The afternn is free fr all t strll arund twn, explre the art galleries, g n a cean safari, play sme glf r d a bread-making class with Markus. In the evening we are free t enjy dinner at ne f Knysna s many great restaurants. We can highly recmmend Zachary s n the stunning 5* Pezula Estate. Here, awardwinning chef Geffrey Murray cks sme f the best lcal, hnest and super-fresh fd. * Day 13 Breakfast at ur guest huse in Knysna. We leave Knysna, drive past Plettenberg Bay and The Crags. Here we visit Birds f Eden, a magical living frest that huses the largest free-flight aviary in the wrld. In the afternn we have a chice f explring Tsitsikamma Natinal Park, Nature s Valley and Strmsriver, r spend a lazy day arund the pl. Our last dinner is at Kurland estate where yung chef Len Cetzee, a frmer apprentice f Grdn Ramsey and Marc Pierre White, is cking sme f the best fd alng the Garden Rute. We spend ur last evening in pure luxury at ne f SA s tp estates. * Day 14 Breakfast at the estate. After breakfast we leave fr Prt Elizabeth, passing the Tsitsikamma Natinal Park, Strmsriver and the Blukrans Bridge famus fr the highest bungee jump in the wrld.
