A check with stationary radar indicated the vehicle was traveling at a steady 50 MPH on the 25 MPH roadway while passing Walnut St. As the vehicle passed me I observed it to be a yellow Ford Mustang with black racing stripes. A traffic stop was initiated and Ryan Cheatham was identified as the driver. Mr Cheatham stated he was late for work and held up by a train. He also stated that his speedometer is broke. A check of Mr Cheatham's operators license indicated he had two prior speed violations within the past twelve months. One was for traveling 56 MPH in a 25 MPH zone and the other one was for 51 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. Mr Cheatham was issued a citation for Speed Above Posted Limits 50/ B2 ORC (M4) and given a mandatory court date of January 29, 2012 at 5:00 PM. Radar: PYT Calibration check: conducted at 8:40 PM and again immediately after the traffic stop. In both instances the radar was found to be working properly. I estimated the vehicle to be traveling at about 40 mph. I used laser unit TS to perform a speed check and found the vehicle to be traveling at 40 mph. I initiated a traffic stop and advised the driver, Ms. Beers, why I had stopped her. Ms. Beers advised, "I never come this way. I was probably going too fast." Ms. Beers was cited for speed.i had good tracking, no interference, and a calibration check was done at about 1525 hrs. Boundary St. I observed a white Oasis delivery vehicle (OH-FBF6954) traveling at what appeared to be a higher rate of speed than the posted speed limit of 25 mph. I estimated the speed to be 40 mph. I activated radar unit (E22204) and a speed of 41 mph was detected. I initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Demond L. Crisp II. Dispatch advised Crisp was suspended under a license forfeiture suspension. I advised Crisp of his suspension and that he needed to contact someone to come pick up the vehicle and him. Crisp was issued a citation for License Forfeiture (ORC A,MM). He was given a mandatory court date of Tuesday, January 29th at 5 pm. The vehicle was later released to Hunter Francis.
