I ran the registration plate through dispatch and it was confirmed that the registration expired on September 24, I activated my overhead lights and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle pulled into the Speedway station on US 20. I approached the driver, identified myself and the reason for the stop. I asked to see his drivers license, registration and proof of insurance. The driver provided his OL and registration. The driver, King, advised that he knew the registration had expired but had just sent in the renewal fee. I asked him for his proof of insurance.
