I observed a grey Jeep Laredo OH- FAV2481 traveling in the left lane on IR-75N between mile posts and The vehicle appeared to be traveling faster than the posted speed limit of 65 mph. I estimated the speed of the vehicle to be 85 mph. I activated laser unit # UX and it displayed readings of 85, 87 and 88 mph at ft from the cruiser. I stopped the vehicle and I spoke to Ashley Winters. She told me that she knew she was speeding and told me that she had an expired registration.she was cited for speed and expired registration. She was given a mandatory court date for 02/19/13 at 1700 hrs. I had good tracking and there were no obstructions. The calibration was checked and it was functioning properly. 10 While traveling WB on E.S.Boundary St, I observed a silver Toyota Corolla (IL ) traveling EB at what appeared to be a higher rate of speed than the posted speed limit of 25 mph. I estimated the vehicles speed to be 40 mph. I activated radar unit (E22204) and a speed of 43 mph was detected. The speed slowly dropped from 43 mph to 40 mph and continued until slowing down to 35 mph. I initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Molly R. Wilson. Wilson apologized for speeding and stated she wasn't sure what she was thinking. Wilson was issued a citation for Speed 43 mph in a 25 mph zone (ORC B2,MM). She was provided with a court date of Tuesday, February 19th at 5 pm. A calibration check was performed at approximately 1320 hrs and 1430 hrs which was found to be working properly. 11 While stationary on W.S. Boundary, I observed a grey BMW X3 (OH-710YAD) operating at what appeared to be a higher rate of speed than the posted speed limit of 25 mph. I activated radar unit (E22204) and a speed of 39 mph was detected. The speed went up from 39 mph to 40 mph and then back to 39 mph. I activated my overhead lights and initiated a traffic stop. I identified the driver as Graham Matthew Raabe. Raabe was issued a citation for Speed (ORC B2,MM). He was provided with a court date of Tuesday, February 19th at 5 pm.a calibration check was performed at approximately 1120 hrs and 1320 hrs and found to be working properly. A closer check of the vehicle found that the registration sticker belonged to the driver 's other vehicle a 2006 silver Volkswagen Jetta (OH-DWJ6774). I estimated the vehicle to be traveling at about 40 mph. I used laser unit TS to perform a speed check and found the vehicle to be traveling at 40 mph. I initiated a traffic stop and advised the driver, Mr. Zouaoui, why I had stopped him. Mr. Zouaoui stated he had already received a ticket and was due in Court Monday. I check our Agency's contact with Mr. Zouaoui and did not find any citations issued to him. It was also learned that the vehicle registration had expired in November of last year. Mr. Zouaoui was cited for speed and warned for the registration. Mr. Zouaoui again wanted to argue the citation. I reiterated the fact I was warning him for the expired registration and not towing his vehicle. Mr. Zouaoui then stated ok.i had good tracking, no interference, and a calibration check was done at about 1530 hrs. I observed a black suv traveling N on SR 25 in the passing lane at what appeared to be over the 40 mph speed limit. I estimated the vehicle to be traveling at about 55 mph. I used laser unit TS to perform a speed check and found the vehicle to be traveling at 56 mph. I initiated a traffic stop and advised the driver, Ms. Lupica, why I had stopped her.
