1 American Collegiate Horsemen s Association 2019 National Convention Registration Hey Y all! Clemson Collegiate Horsemen s Association is excited to host this year s 2019 ACHA National Convention in Charleston, SC. The following paper work gives an overview of everything you need to know about Convention. I wanted first to briefly inform every one of the changes we have made for this year s convention. The first change is that we do not have any specific host hotel this year. We recommend a house rental either near Folly Beach or in the city, we recommend using airbnb and booking early since Charleston books up fast during the spring. Second, we will not be providing buses for tour day due to the low capability of them driving and parking in the city. Most of our tours will take place in downtown Charleston and in surrounding areas no more than about 20 miles outside the city. We will be providing all parking costs to the clubs. Third, during tour day all attendees will have the opportunity to explore the city! We will have a specified block of time allowing clubs to get lunch and shop around before meeting up and going to our last tour and dinner/dance. As we get closer to the convention we will send out more detailed information with maps and driving directions. On the following pages we have provided you with all you need to know about Charleston. We have listed airports, restaurants, activities, weather, etc to try and make your visit to the city as fun as possible. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to contact us! All schools must be accompanied by an advisor and are responsible for their own lodging and transportation. Please submit only one payment for all fees. Checks can be made out to CCHA. All registration fees are non-refundable. T-shirt Swap: We encourage all chapters to bring extra t-shirts (one per member participating) for our annual t-shirt swap! National Officer Nominations: If a member is running for national office, forms will be due on Thursday morning of convention. Please note that candidate speeches will take place on Thursday afternoon. Swearing in of new officers will take place during Saturday morning brunch. Applications can be found on the ACHA website under the forms tab. T-Shirts Size: Please denote each members t-shirt size. T-shirt s cannot be guaranteed for registration received with a postmark after February 1st! Scrapbook Contest Entry: Scrapbooks must be entered by Thursday morning of convention. Guidelines on the contest can be found on the ACHA website under the forms tab. Yes, our chapter will be entering scrapbook contest! No, not this year!
