19 On your mind - IT Providers, Others 1. Seller identification, Voluntary & Involuntary Servicing, Payment 2. NDC Clients readiness for NDC 3. Voluntary and Involuntary Servicing, Payments We are currently implementing v18.1 and v Discussion on 19.2 Schema VOL and INVOL scenario, One Order, OrderChangeNotification and highlight on 2020 Schema 5. Other than the lack of common types, we do not face major challenges regarding the NDC / OO schemas. 6. "Application of commission, fare discounts and markups. The challenge of convincing travel agents to pilot/implement without post-ticketing via NDC in place.can the leaderboard airlines share how they moving forward in discussions with agents in terms of post-ticketing servicing. Additionally, for the U.S., how are they applying commission and fare discounts. 7. We have had to use many augmentation points. How do others deal with this? Our customers want slice-byslice shopping. Do others see a need for this too? 8. I would like to discuss the problems that we were facing when consuming the 18.1/18.2 NDCSchema using JAXB - duplicated information in many XSD files. Apart from this I would like to share our experience concerning migration from the NDC 15.2 to 18.1/18.2 implementation. 9. Service-only sales Non-air products 10. I would really like to learn about challenges around agency support and servicing. 11. lack of common types remains a major challenge for us in our implementation of 18.1
20 On your mind - Agents and Aggregators 1. One particular challenge that we are facing at the moment is the lack of consensus around what data is "mandatory" for the airlines to return. NDC does a good job of saying "if you want to return this data here's where you should put it - and everyone else will roughly put it in the same place" but it would be great if it went further and said "this data is mandatory - if it's not in the response you request is invalid". One example of that is: baggage allowances in AirShoppingRS. Some airlines have it, some don't but every one wants it. 2. Regional insights (e.g. Chinese-, Russian-, Spanishspeaking markets); alternative (and region specific) methods of payments, distribution of rich media content 3. Divide and Reduce Orders and Passenger Servicing in a Hybrid World 4. Handling Schedule changes and disruptions through NDC and how OTAs can respond to these events and assist their customers on behalf of the airlines. 5. Fare rules in AirShopingRS are not complete and in same structure between different airlines. 6. "Offers comparison (offer categorisation), NDC implementation differences, error flows 7. NDC vs caching? Discussing with an airline for NDC Cache Looking forward to hearing and sharing experiences with others.
21 On your mind - Airlines 1. schema convergence payment and servicing 2. How to handle split? PMR? How to transfer ownership? 3. Version Upgrade 4. Response time is a huge issue for end user adopters like GDS, OTAs etc who are used to sub-second responses from EDIFACT and other legacy messaging. API/Service based messaging is simply not able to deliver that level of low response time. How do we as an industry solve for this? Is it a technical question of business process one? 5. ARC Reporting, History transactions elements, Time Limit (inventory guarantee) 6. Challenges with DHS compliance in terms of vetting for passenger clearance score 7. Involuntary changes handling 8. Would like to hear from other carriers any issues they have been facing with 17.2 and what demands agencies have been making from NDC 9. Mid back Office Integration 10. XML connectivity with the PSS 11. Best practices for implementation, handling regulatory considerations 12. To better understand how specific implementations can cover and address the NDC gaps today. 13. To understand the issues involved in the various NDC Schema versions; learn more from colleagues who have done a POC for One Order; and understand how IATA is supporting these initiatives.
22 On your mind recurring themes Voluntary Servicing Involuntary Servicing Version Upgrades Lack of Common Types Different Airline implementations
