2 2 PRESIDENT S NOTE... Greetings and Happy Holidays!!! Yes, November 2014 is here and as we approach Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Something Saturday and Catch Your Breath Sunday...(it seems like every day around Thanksgiving has a special sales marketing moniker!), it signals the winding down of a busy year and the approach of the last season. I refuse to mention it or the stuff that comes with it for now and continue to enjoy the fall season and the warm, sunny days I hope to bask in. Your Chamber is winding down our busy year, but there are still several activities this month so be sure to check the calendar in this newsletter. We are developing a new brochure to market the Chamber and which will be available the first of the year. Next month we will be ing by-law changes for the members to review that will be voted on at our January meeting. We will also have next year's slate of officers and directors published and this will also be voted upon at our annual meeting in January. Our BUY LOCAL campaign was a success and the plan is to survey the members to gauge the results and discuss any changes we want to make next year. We are already looking for members that who want to host a Business After Hours event in Please contact the Chamber office if interested and we will pass along the contact info to the events committee. I am looking for another one or two people to sit on our Social Media committee. This group will help to put together our policy and procedures to govern the Chamber's Facebook usage AND be responsible by taking turns to keep the Chamber fresh and current on Facebook. If interested, please contact me directly (mikeskeele@@hotmail.com). Mark your calendar for December 2, our Annual Holiday Party at Stickley, Audi & Co in Fayetteville. It s open to our members and employees and is always a great highlight to finish up the year. See you around the area as we all think, shop and buy local!! On behalf of your Chamber Board of Directors, we wish you a blessed Thanksgiving as you celebrate all things important in your busy lives! Mike Michael J.
