1 Tremont, IL Weekly News Simply Sweet Cupcake Building and Decorating Kids in Grades 2-8 are invited to a cupcake decorating class, hosted by Tremont Library and Simply Sweet Cupcakes! Classes will be held at Simply Sweet Cupcakes at the Tremont Depot. Pre-registration required, $2.00 to hold your spot. Each class is limited to 10. 2 Library Summer Storytime Kids ages 3-6 are invited to join Lizzi for S.T.E.M.-themed stories and activities. Tuesdays June 27 Choose 10:30AM or 3PM in the Library Meeting Room. No registration required, but space is limited to 15 children per session, first-come firstserved. 2

3 Tremont Recycling Notice The Village Board heard a proposal from Eric Shangraw with PDC (Area/Grimm Brothers Disposal) that would remove the recycling dumpster by the water tower. The current FREE recycling bin that has been available to the Village will no longer be FREE. There would be a substantial cost to the Village each pick up. In place of it, PDC will offer Village residents an individual 85 gallon tote as part of an opt-in program. The fee will be $7.50/month. The tote will be collected every 4 weeks and ALL recyclable goods can be in the same tote. The Board voted unanimously for this proposal. The dumpster at the water tower will be removed at the end of July. This is an OPT IN program and will not be required for all residents. The terms are set by PDC so any and all questions should be directed to PDC / Grimm Bros. Additional information will follow as it becomes available. Consumer Confidence Reports The 2016 Consumer Confidence Reports for the Tremont Village and Lake Windermere have been updated on the Tremont Website.
