Beginning fall of 2013 we have embarked on a period of mass transit renaissance, featuring expanded hours and frequency, a new campus route, and a bold new look.

The system s 2013 total ridership of 291,317 is both a record in the 40-year history of transit in Athens, and a goal we hope to surpass in the coming year. 4 Connections Routing Athens APT is the final local link that completes your chain of travel For travel around Athens, riders can connect with the free campus CATS bus service and all major apartment complex shuttles at our new Baker Center main stop. Our three-route system is getting a major upgrade. Meet the new family of routes Route 1: The early bird special passes through uptown Athens and south campus starting at 7:15am, getting off-campus residents to class or work five days a week, rain or shine. Public Transit If home is outside of Athens, we can help you get there too. Three Athens Public Transit routes now directly serve the Campus and Community Center GoBus stops in Athens six days a week, and the campus GoBus stop by the Convocation Center is a five-minute walk from Baker Center. Through GoBus and Greyhound you have access to major Ohio cities and the entire national transit network. Routes 2 and 3: These two routes overlap to offer a bus every half hour between Baker Center and the East State Street Shopping District. Both make stops directly in front of West Green. Route 4: With stops by the South Green Front Four and East Green Jefferson Hall, it provides direct, convenient service between residence halls and the E State Shopping District. Route 5: serves west Athens and the Plains, with service from O'Bleness Hospital and the Ohio University Biochemistry complex and the Innovation Center. Bristol Virginia Transit 1 Transit Overview Bristol Virginia Transit (BVT) is a Federally Funded and certified urban area transit system. BVT began operation in its current form in 1982. In Fiscal Year
