3 P a g e 3 CONFERENCE FOCUS 40 Years of Excellence EPICS has come a long way in forty years of development! In 1978, Foy Inc offered software to handle practice planning, press reporting, and tooling history. This would grow in the early 80 s to be known as EPICS (Extrusion Production Information and Control System). Fast forward through several decades of innovation and new development technology, and you have EPICS V9. YOU have been a vital part of our success and sustainability over those many years. Your constructive feedback and wishlist items have helped to make our software the industry leading solution that it is today. In 2017 alone, we added 19 wishlist items to EPICS V9. Since V9 was released in 2014, we have incorporated 86 of your wishlist items! At this year s 20 th conference, we will take a look at past, new, and future functionality. We will help you be fully up to speed on common tasks like: Stocking completed Kits and Assemblies Create your own custom drop-down menus in user fields Make any field a required field Changelog enhancements Many user interface improvements Expanded permissions and configuration settings and much more! Managing shortages Handling rework Understanding billet requirements Advanced workorder planning Part-specific lead times Using die drawings on reports Working with tolerances Forgotten EPICS features and much more! We will also look at the new features added within the last year, like: The team at Foy Inc is also very excited to debut a new optional module that will be available in the very near future: The Die Correction Module This module will allow you to schedule and keep track of die copies under maintenance. 4 P a g e 4 WISHLIST The Wishlist sessions at the EUC are now legendary. We are always working to make sure that you are heard and that we take your feedback seriously. We encourage you to come to the conference and submit your TOP 4 features and changes that you would like to see in EPICS V9. This is the only formal wishlist process we currently have. Of course, we make note of your suggestions and feedback from our interaction with you throughout the year, but this is the big chance to formally submit those must haves! Once all customers in attendance have submitted their items, this list will be distributed to all active EPICS customers, who will then rank the proposals. The consolidated final rankings become the Foy priority list for development in the next year. Please don t forget, we do not get rid of wishlist items. So even if yours does not end up being voted to the top, or included right away, it could still be incorporated in the future. We regularly review wishlist requests, past and present. NETWORKING AND PRIZES One of the biggest prizes of attending our annual user conference is the opportunity for networking. Over the years, our customers have expressed how much they appreciate the break-out sessions and the chance to connect with other EPICS Users in casual settings. In addition to our normal door prize giveaway, you can send in a breakout session topic idea and be entered to win a separate prize. You must be present to win! 5 P a g e 5 TRAINING SESSION ADD-ON DAY We regularly set aside Wednesday to do more in-depth training on the features and functionality that we over-viewed on Monday and Tuesday. This is an ideal session to send both newer and power users to. EPICS administrators seem to really benefit from these reviews. Historically this has been a wellattended add-on day to the conference. The optional day of training will be on Wednesday, April 18 th. A detailed outline of the training is handed out on the day of training and is helpful to keep on hand for future reference. Training sessions are over by 2:00 PM on Wednesday and should give you plenty of time to catch that evening flight home.

6 P a g e 6 REGISTRATION RECEPTION Join us Sunday evening at 4:00PM for an informal reception. We will be at the Park Terrace in the New York New York Hotel and Casino. Come and enjoy snacks and drinks while you pick up your registration packet and conference gift! This is always a very casual time of meeting and greeting. Lots of folks look forward to catching up during this time.

The NY NY Hotel and Casino has rooms available April 14 th 18 th at the special conference rate of $175 on Saturday night, and $75 per night Sunday- Wednesday. Rooms will go quickly! 9 P a g e 9 TRAVEL NOTES Many airlines fly into McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Vegas. You may want to search Expedia, Priceline, and Travelocity for the best rates. The New York New York is located a very short taxi ride from the airport. Most conference attendees will not need to rent a car. Travel up and down the strip is best done on foot, the monorail, by taxi, or on the frequent trolleys. Uber and Lyft are also available in Vegas. The Deuce Bus is another transportation option. It is a double-decker bus that runs along the strip and continues downtown. Three-day passes are only $15, but travel can be very slow due to traffic on the strip. There s PLENTY to do.
