2 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS all events will be held at the South Dakota school of Mines & Technology unless otherwise noted Day 1 (Tuesday, May 28) Registration A registration desk will be open from 8 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, in the lobby of the Classroom Building at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. All conference registrants of the events will receive a name badge that should be worn during the entire conference to gain entry to all portions of the program (e.g., sessions, meals, and dinner). The Workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. If you have any questions during the conference, please contact our staff who can be recognized by their name badges. Topical and Breakout Sessions Topical and Breakout sessions will be held in Room 204 of the Classroom Building. Coffee Breaks Coffee breaks will be held in Room 203 of the Classroom Building. Group Photograph A group photograph is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, at 10:20 a.m. between the Museum of Geology Building and the King Center. Lunch Break Lunch will be held in the Ballroom of the Surbeck Center. Workshop Dinner (at RESPEC) At approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, a Workshop dinner is being hosted at the RESPEC Office at 3824 Jet Drive, Rapid City, South Dakota.

3 Day 2 (Wednesday, May 29) Topical and Breakout Sessions The Workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. Topical and Breakout sessions will be held in Room 204 in the Classroom Building. Coffee Breaks Coffee breaks will be held in Room 203 of the Classroom Building. Lunch Break Lunch will be held in the Ballroom of the Surbeck Center. No Dinner Scheduled Day 3 (Thursday, May 30) Field Trip A bus will be located in front of the Holiday Inn Rapid City Rushmore Plaza Hotel at 9 a.m. for the field trip. The field trip will stop at several locations in the Black Hills to observe the diverse geology of the Black Hills of South Dakota. Lunch Lunch will be provided. Conference Registration The conference fees are $250 (USD), paid at the time of registration. This includes a light breakfast, lunch, and breaks for 2 days as well as field trip expenses and dinner on May 28. Registration for the 10 th US/German Workshop on Salt Repository Research, Design, & Operation can be completed online ( Registration deadline is April 15, A $25 late fee will be added to all late registrations.

It is approximately a 20-minute drive from the Rapid City Regional Airport to the hotel. For booking, you may call the hotel directly and use the group booking code GER. The group rates are $129 or $139 per night and are available until April 15, The Holiday Inn also has a complementary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel between 4:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. Please call the hotel direct to request the shuttle.
