Call of the Cahuilla I N S I D E T H I S I S S U E : W I N T E R Conclave 1 Chief Speaks Fall Fellowship LEC 2 Bill Woodward 3 Tribute Lodge Dues 4 Lodge Banquet 5 Training 6 Conclave At this past conclave we had arrowmen from Cahuilla, Pavunga, and Wiatava at Lost Valley Scout Camp. Arrowmen participated in archer, rifle shooting, monster ball, and classes. We had a special guest Anthony Poluso our 2018 National Chief in attendance. Section elections were held and congratulations to Jorge De La Torre for Section Chief and Jesse De La Torre for Section Secretary Calendar 7 West is Best but Cahuilla is Best in the West! Chief Speaks This is Jesse Jones, your 2019 Cahuilla lodge Chief I just spent this last weekend at the lodge officer retreat with my fellow officers. We spent the weekend planning out the next year of events and I think its going to be an awesome, exciting year. We all have made our goals an I can assure you that we will have a successful year. We are all one lodge, and when we work with each other we can have a great, fun year!

2 P A G E 2 V O L U M E 4 7, I S S U E 1 Fall Fellowship On November 2nd Cahuilla held its Annual Fall Fellowship with Pavunga Lodge at Camp Tahquitz. All those who attended had fun shooting air soft and shotguns as well as going on the climbing wall. Congratulations to the chapters that placed in overall competitions and spirit: 1st Place Serrano Chapter, 2nd Place Puvunga, 3rd Place Navajo Chapter. Cahuilla Lodge also held their election of 2019 Lodge Officers Saturday night. 3 P A G E 3 In Memory of William Woodward Mr. William Woodward AKA Bill passed away on the morning of December 1st peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was an active arrowmen since He served as chief of Navajo Lodge in 1966 and later served as the Navajo Lodge Adviser three times over many years. He was very active with Cahuilla since Navajo Lodge merged in He also remained active as a ceremony adviser for Navajo Chapter and Old Baldy District serving on a number of District committees. Mr. Woodward believed in the Boy Scouts of America and the Order of the Arrowmen what they had to offer to the youth. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
