Purpose of participation in the festival The participation in the Jeonju Bibimbap Festival 2018 which is the biggest festival in the city of Jeonju, a creative city of gastronomy, aims to promote cooperation with cities in different fields of creativity in line with the statement made by the mayor of Kanazawa at the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Meeting Kanazawa An inlay artist from Kanazawa demonstrated her inlaying techniques and provided an opportunity to experience inlaying by the citizens of Jeonju. The participation in this festival was an occasion of exchange aiming at a fusion between Kanazawa s crafts and Jeonju s gastronomy. Another purpose is to implement this project along with the terms of exchange through the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the agreement which was made last year to commemorate the 15 th anniversary of twinning between Kanazawa and Jeonju.
