2 What is the Da Nang Urban Development Forum? Da Nang City is well known as the host city for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders Week in November Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recognized Da Nang as "the most livable city in the country, a must-visit tourism destination, and a major investment attraction," at the business-matching Invest Da Nang 2017 Forum on October 15, Since signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Da Nang in 2013, the City of Yokohama conducted the Data collection survey on sustainable and integrated urban development in Da Nang, with both cities receiving support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The City of Yokohama continues to support the City of Da Nang to mitigate urban environmental issues that it has overcome in the past by matching techniques and technology from its local enterprises. The Da Nang Urban Development Forum is held alternating in each city to share visions and action plans promoting sustainable development. What is Yokohama City? Population: 3,733,234 (as of October 1, 2017) Area:435.29km² Yokohama is a beautiful international port city located in the Greater Tokyo Area. It is full of diverse attractions, including not only a modern waterfront symbolized in its Minato Mirai 21 area, but also expanses of residential districts in suburban areas covered with rich greens and agricultural land. The opening of Yokohama s port to the world in 1859 triggered its subsequent development. Since then, Yokohama has developed into the nation s second largest city with a population of 3.7 million while overcoming various challenges, such as the Great Kanto Earthquake, rapid population growth, and environmental pollution. The know-how and technical prowess in city administration developed through this process provided the foundation for its contributions to the international community today. In recent years, the city has hosted many international conferences, such as the APEC Leaders Meeting. In addition, Yokohama welcomed a total of million tourists to the city in

Da Nang will share its vision, and enterprises from Yokohama will make proposals that add value to build competitive IZs. The Au Thuyen and Tho Quang fishery ports have an onshore area of 24 hectares and a water surface of 58 hectares, including storm shelters for fishing boats, the fishing port, and a wholesale fish market. A comprehensive master plan is needed to develop not only this area but also greater Tho Quang. Da Nang will share its vision for the Tho Quang area, and Yokohama will help formulate a master plan to improve efficiency at the fishery port.
