1 Gartner Symposium/ITxpo Hotel Accommodation: How do I register for the event? Please visit our Symposium/ITxpo Registration page or call our Symposium/ITxpo Registration Team at If you are a Gartner Executive Programs member, please contact your service delivery associate to register you for the event. When can I make my hotel reservation? Executive Programs attendees have a priority booking window that begins on 18 May at 12:00 p.m. noon AEST. General Attendee reservations will open 24 May at 12:00 p.m. noon AEST. Can I call the hotel directly to book my hotel? Reservations cannot be made with the hotel directly. Any calls to the hotel will be redirected to the Gartner Housing team. If you didn t select hotel accommodation during registration, you can log back into your account and make a reservation at any time. What are the preferred Gartner Hotels and what are the rates? The Star Gold Coast - From $239 per room per night Crowne Plaza - From $185 per room per night Sofitel (limited availability) - From $265 per room per night Full rates for each hotel and room type are available on our website once you log in. I was registered by someone else, how do I make a hotel reservation? If you are already registered for the event you will need to log into your gartner.com account and select Make Hotel Reservation you will be able to select your dates, and will be shown a listing of available hotels. Please refer to the example at the end of this section. There are a few event questions that you will be required to answer in the registration system prior to booking your hotel reservation. We recommend that you do this prior to the hotel registration date to ensure a smooth reservation experience. What do I do if I am having trouble logging into the registration system? Attendees who are having trouble logging in to their gartner.com account should follow the links and instructions on the log in page for assistance. Resetting credentials can easily be done online. Will there be special rates offered by hotels in the Gold Coast? The official Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2017 hotels will be the only hotels to offer special discounted rates for this event, these include The Star Gold Coast, Sofitel Hotel & Crowne Plaza. Hotel reservations can be made during the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2017 registration process. Public-Sector Hotel Room Rates We have secured a number of rooms for Public Sector guests that are available below $200 per night including GST. These rooms are located at the Crowne Plaza and are subject to availability. Reservations cannot be made with the hotels directly.

2 CIO Program We have secured a number of rooms at the Sofitel exclusively for those attendees who have been accepted on the Gartner CIO Program at Gartner Symposium/ITxpo These rooms are from $265 per night including GST and are subject to availability. Reservations cannot be made with the hotel directly. Are there any dedicated rooms for Gartner Executive Programs members? Gartner Executive Programs members can avail of an exclusive room block at the Sofitel Hotel. Rates at the Sofitel Hotel start from $265 per room. Once you have been registered for the Gartner Symposium/ ITxpo by your service delivery team, you may log back into your account and select Make Hotel Reservation. The system will automatically direct you to the Sofitel Hotel when booking online. If you wish to stay at an alternative hotel, please contact the Garther Hotel team on What if I need to change or cancel my hotel reservation? You can edit your hotel reservation online by going back into your gartner.com account and selecting Edit Reservation. All hotel changes must be completed prior to 9 October at 5:00 p.m. AEST to avoid being charged. Should you need to cancel a hotel reservation you can do so online through the registration system or by calling the Gartner Housing Team at Please be aware that cancellations are allowed up to 9 October at 5:00 p.m. AEST without penalty. If you are no longer planning to attend the event, you will need to cancel your event registration prior to 29 October at 5:00 p.m. AEST. Click here for the event terms and conditions. Please note that when you cancel your event registration your hotel reservation must be cancelled as well. Can I book more than 1 reservation? Only registered attendees will be able to make a reservation. In order to provide an enhanced hotel reservation process for our registered attendees, provisional reservations are not permitted. However, if you are part of a registered team looking to stay together, please the Gartner Housing Team at symposium.hotels@veritas.com.au with details of the registered attendees and hotel preference. These blocks will only be accommodated at the hotels where we have a general attendee block and rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. What is the hotel cancellation policy? In line with the event cancellation policy, any hotel changes or cancellations received after Monday 9 October 2017 at 5.00pm AEST will incur a 100% cancellation penalty charge, this includes nonattendance. If you need to make any changes to your booking please contact the Gartner Hotel Team at or symposium.hotels@veritas.com.au. Why do I only see certain hotels available? The accommodation you are able to select is based upon availability at the time of your reservation. Who do I contact if I have a question? 3 Attendees who are already registered for Symposium should log-in to their Gartner.com account and follow the below instructions:

4 Once logged in you will see the Registration Information page. This page allows an attendee to edit any contact information, User Profile information, and reserve a hotel. Please note, if you are directed to the Personal Information Page first, click continue and you will be directed to the Registration Information Page noted below.

5 After selecting Make a Hotel Reservation you will be directed to the Hotel Reservation page. Hotel codes are not required to reserve hotel accommodation. Select arrival and depature dates.

6 Once dates are selected, a listing of available hotels will display on the next screen.

7 After selecting an available hotel the system will show a full description of the selected hotel. Select Book Now to enter credit card information and finalize the reservation.

8 You will then need to read and accept the cancellation policy. Once cancellation terms are read you can enter credit card information to guarantee the reservation. Credit cards are not charged at this stage; guests will need to show their credit card at check in to pay for the room. If the guest is a no-show the credit card entered here will be charged for the full duration of the booking. Guests who wish to transfer their reservation to another attendee must provide updated credit card information. Once the reservation is submitted a confirmation will be sent via . This will outline full reservation details as well as a reminder of the cancellation policy and cut-off dates should any changes need to be made. If you need to change the reservation for any reason you may do so by logging back into gartner.com and going to the hotel section of the account.
