Delegates will benefit from networking sessions, and explore the meat industry s strategic importance to Canada in a historical and contemporary context, as well as examining opportunities and challenges for the industry. As Head of Council, I want also to acknowledge the Canadian Meat Council, keynote speakers, sponsors and facilitators for dedicating efforts, expertise and resources to the successful organization of this educational meeting of national scope. As Mayor of the host city, I invite visitors to explore the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame and the Barbara Ann Scott Gallery at City Hall, as well as the revitalized Lansdowne park, its restored heritage pavilions, and new TD Place, home of the Ottawa REDBLACKS CFL team, and Ottawa Fury FC United Soccer League team.
