Register Today for Outlook 2016 Outlook 2016 is the only national gathering of the U.S. apple industry and is held at the beginning of the new crop marketing season just days after the USDA August apple crop forecast. The conference brings together all sectors of the national apple industry and provides firsthand information on the upcoming crop. Plus, food safety is on everyone s mind with the new FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety rules taking effect over the next few months. Outlook 2016 features two nationally known experts on food safety who will have key roles in implementing the FSMA rules. The opening keynote speaker is Frank Yiannas, Vice President of Food Safety, Walmart. Yiannas oversees all food safety, as well as other public health functions, for the world s largest food retailer and is a nationally recognized speaker on food safety issues. The closing keynote speaker is Barbara Glenn, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA). FDA envisions state agriculture departments as playing a primary role in implementing and enforcing the new Produce Safety rules at the orchard and packinghouse level. Cancellation Refund Policy All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by August 1, A refund of the conference fee, minus a $100 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received by that date. No refunds will be granted for requests after August 1, Submit all requests to Jessa Allen at jallen@usapple.org. USApple regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. Substitution Policy Substitution of registrations is permitted prior to the conference and onsite. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance dues) associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact information.
