Just a reminder, please make sure to shovel your sidewalks and around fire hydrants, as we would like to allow for safe passage through the neighborhood. Our annual membership is underway and seems to be progressing at a steady pace. I would love to see it at 100%. Why should you join the WRCA? The WRCA has accomplished so much for the good our neighborhood. It has brought us the bridge over the I-990, allowed Willow Ridge Dr. to remain two lanes instead of a four lane road between Sweet Home and Niagara Falls Blvd., and reduced the negative impact of Walmart and Home Depot in our community. For your money, you receive a monthly newsletter containing timely neighborhood information, activities, and school news. Also you receive a yearly directory, bringing your neighbors phone numbers to your fingertips, that is filled with coupons to local businesses. On top of all this, there are a number of activities for adults and children such as Oktoberfest, Halloween and Easter parties, summer picnic and the Snowflake Dinner Dance (which is fast approaching, so make sure to get your money and reservations to Lee Baker). We have an absolutely wonderful neighborhood, (if you ll allow the rhyme) so join the WRCA and let s help keep it that way! All are of course, invited to attend the next board meeting, which will be held at the Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Co. on February 10, at 7:30pm. Finally, lets hope for better weather in February! Warm wishes, Bob Foladare Amherst Town Supervisor Satish Mohan Attention will be in attendance at the March 10th meeting of the WRCA. This meeting will take place at the Ellicott Creek Fire Hall at 7:30 pm. All are invited! To Submit Articles Attention Block Reps! for the Wind-in-the-Willows, submit to wiweditor@gmail.com BLOCK REP and be sure to put witw in the subject box; or place signed articles in porch box at 221 North BREAKFAST February 21, 2009 Brier Road.
