Our Meet & Greet also included Corvettes for Chip event on Sunday. Some of our caravan members were recognized as well as the 2019 Atlantic Corvette Caravan for the following: Roger & Pam Shanks: Traveling the longest distance from Ontario, Canada! Greg & Alicia Motter: Modified C7 Class Honorable Mention Richard & Karen Kiraly: Stock C4 Class Honorable Mention The Atlantic Corvette Caravan: Best Club Participation. This award, usually given to a club was given to the 2019 Atlantic Corvette Caravan since we had the largest group turnout. Congratulations to all of you for making this happen. Your support, enthusiasm, kindness and friendship will always be remembered. A Big Thank You to Lance Miller for taking time out to spend Saturday with us and showing everyone his phenomenal collection of cars and sharing some history. 2 We have a free-lance writer in our midst June Barlett. June is a freelance writer for a women's online Corvette magazine, called vettegirlscc.net. June and her husband Butch are very big supporters of our caravan and are counting the days until we leave for Bowling Green, KY. We are very happy to have one of our caravan members, Richard Kiraly, serve as our 2019 Atlantic Corvette Caravan Chaplin. Thank you Richard. Delaware Valley Corvette Club invited us to speak at their meeting in November. Their hospitality and warm reception was greatly appreciated. Meet and Greet Includes: Parade laps in your own Corvette on the Lightning Track. 20 minutes per group. We will meet at the Main Gate at 11:00 am 1:00-2:00 pm Lunch buffet at the Breighton Room. Optional Go Karting to follow lunch. $40.06 per person. All inclusive, 15 Minute Karting session laps at the Tempest Raceway. Closed shoes are required. You may bring your own helmet. Includes: 12:00 pm 1:00 pm Parade laps in your own car on the Lightning Track. 20 minutes per group. We will meet at the main gate 11:00 am 1:00-2:00 pm Lunch buffet at the Breighton Room. ELITE PARKING Raffle tickets are still available for ELITE PARKING at the National Corvette Museum from Wednesday, August 28 through Saturday, September 1, One lucky winner will be given access to a reserved lot close to the museum. This is a $ value and only 50 tickets will be sold at $20.00 per ticket. If you are interested, please us (AtlanticCaptains2019@gmail.com) and we will save you a ticket before they are all gone. Drawing will be held after all tickets are sold. Remember, the 2019 National Corvette Museum s 25 th Anniversary Celebration Registration is now open. Pre-Registration National Corvette Museum Fee: $30 for Lifetime Members $40 for Members $65 for Non-Members Those who pre-register will receive a commemorative event program, lapel pin, dash plaque, lanyard and personalized hard-card event credential. On-site registration $35 for Lifetime Members $45 for Members $70 for Non-Members Those who register onsite will receive a commemorative event program. We are still waiting for the Corvette Plant Tour information. POST CARAVAN TRIP A Post Caravan Trip is still in the works. We have had a number of people interested in this. More information will follow in our future newsletters as we get closer to the date. 4
