A thought provoking presentation of Governor Macquarie s contribution to the development of the colony. The Macquarie name is used in many historic places. FUTURE SPEAKERS NOVEMBER 5th Gail Davis from State Records will guide us through the design and organisation of the new web pages. So many records behind the scenes with volunteers indexing them for us to search. These photos copied from Macquarie Society web page. DECEMBER 3rd Christmas Function at Lions Club Hall. Thanks to Kay Rawnsley s diligence in digitising, this will be a wonderful instantly searchable resource of pages, when all is compiled and edited after the final E-Muster of Central Coast Council GRANT As the first part of this grant, Claude s Electrical will install office power points and wiring on Mon3 rd October. Seniors and Family History is the theme of our grant request for Seniors Week It s always great to share our expertise and resources helping others to enjoy researching their very special family. Hope the Seniors Week judges agree. CONTRIBUTIONS for the next emuster. I am looking for contributions of letters, diaries, stories, photographs, mementos etc. suitable to include in the next emuster which will be a tribute to World War 1 soldiers who fought in the battles on the Western Front in Please consider preparing an item for inclusion. It does not have to be a large item; it could be a snippet. Maybe I will end up with a collection of snippets or very small memories or stories that have remained in your family history. Final sessions about Historic Aboriginal Lives, Mapping Ryde and historic Joadja. Either day certainly worth registering and a train trip. See you there. NOVEMBER Monday 10 th Red Bus Coach tour, Hawkesbury Ramble with tour guide Judith Dunn. CCFHS pick up 7.30 and return by 0.30 to avoid local parking problems and peak hour traffic home. Bookings quickly filling. NOVEMBER in the week after the bus trip.
