We are excited that you are interested in registering for the Grand National in Louisville, Ky., on June 11 15, 2019! Before completing and mailing the registration/entry forms, please read the following instructions carefully. You may either detach the forms from your magazine or copy them and fill out by hand, or, preferably, register online at gn.cadillaclasalleclub.org. If not registering online, the Event Registration Form should be mailed to the CLC Office with a check, money order or credit card information for the total fees. If registering through the mail, a confirmation will be sent to you within two to three weeks. (International attendees: If not registering online, you may the forms and pay with U.S. funds upon arrival at the CLC Grand National registration desk.) IMPORTANT! You must be registered for the event before you may register your car(s). If you wish to send the Vehicle Registration Form in at a later date, that s fine, the same deadlines still apply. VISA, Mastercard and Discover accepted Family registration: Each member who attends is required to pay the Family Registration Fee. This includes the active CLC member, spouse/partner, and any children under 18. Other friends/family members may attend with Club members, but must be registered as guests, and the Guest Registration Fee must be included for each. Please make sure to indicate the first and last name and city/state of residence for each guest. Event registration will provide you with credentials that you must have in order to gain entrance to the Cadillac Welcome Reception/ CLCMRC Auction, Hospitality Suite, seminars, swap meet and car show. All other events/tours are to be paid for a la carte. Events/tours sell out quickly, so please submit registration and fees promptly! NOTE: Although the Cadillac Welcome Reception is FREE, please indicate the number of attendees, since tickets will be required for entry. Each member is required to pay the Family Registration Fee, even if only attending the car show on Saturday. Family Registration Fees are based on the date the form is received. Eligibility Cars eligible for judging include: Touring 2009 and earlier; Primary and Specialty & Unique 1999 and earlier; Preservation 1989 and earlier; and Display 2019 and earlier. NOTE. Body Identification Compare the numbers on the car s body plate against the Body Style charts published in the CLC 2019 International Membership Directory. The CLC reserves the right to use the correct body style descriptions when publishing material relating to your Cadillac or LaSalle. NOTE. Special Entry Requirements Modified Division Entrants A supplemental application is required and will be provided by the Car Registrar after processing this form. Preservation Division Entrants Must complete and include a Preservation Application Form (see page 96 of the CLC 2019 International Membership Directory). Preservation vehicles may also be judged in Primary, Touring or Specialty & Unique Divisions; if not, it must be entered in Display. There is no additional entry fee for Preservation Division judging. NOTE. Senior Award Cars Enter the Senior Badge number. Check your vehicle s Senior Badge number in the 2019 CLC Directory (pp ). The show field will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. No exceptions. IMPORTANT ENTRANT REQUIREMENTS 1. Show entrants must also register for the 2019 Grand National to enter a car. 2. Show entrants must be current National members of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club Inc. 3. Cars entered must be owned by a current member of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club Inc. 4. All cars must be currently insured for liability and property damage to be allowed on the show field. Proof of insurance must be shown at the Meet registration. 5. Confirmation of Entry must be shown at the Meet registration. 6. All cars on the show field must have a 2½ pound ABC fire extinguisher or equal with the car. 7. Cars leaving the judging field before 4 p.m. on show day will forfeit any award unless the National Chief Judge grants permission to leave early. Exceptions will be made in case of inclement weather as determined by the National Chief Judge. 8. If an adequate number of judges is not available to properly judge all cars, cars will be selected for judging by the National Chief Judge based on the date of entry assigned by the Car Registrar. I, the undersigned, have read the above Entrant Requirements and agree to comply with those and all other requirements published in the current CLC Judging Manual. Call the CLC Office to confirm: (614) All entries received at the CLC Office after May 31, 2019, will be rejected for judging; however, the cars can/will be displayed. No changes to judged vehicles (i.e. different car, change of class or status) after May 31, 2019, unless permission is granted by the National Chief Judge. 5 2019 Grand National Event/Tour Descriptions For all events and tours, you must be preregistered and have the appropriate tour ticket to gain admission. Most tours require a good amount of walking. We advise comfortable walking shoes and casual summer clothing. Some tours are in a different time zone than Louisville. We advise to keep your watches set to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). If you are traveling to Louisville from the north on I-65, the bridge spanning the Ohio River is a toll bridge. Your I-Pass will work automatically. Any traveler without an I-Pass will be mailed a toll statement. Where business casual is indicated, shorts, T-shirts, and flipflops are prohibited. There are several tech seminars scheduled. Times and locations will be posted in the registration area. A swap meet and car corral are available. Chapter and committee meetings will be held throughout the week in designated rooms posted in the registration area. The hospitality room will be open Tuesday through Friday. Reference your onsite registration packet for hours of operation. TUESDAY, JUNE 11 Southern Indiana Driving Tour: Enjoy a tour of scenic Southern Indiana along wooded two-lane roads through the Hoosier National Forest to the world-famous West Baden Resort. Travelling the picturesque byways along the Ohio, we will enjoy lunch at the Overlook Restaurant and visit Corydon, Indiana s first capital. GN 101: A chance for first-time attendees to meet with some of the Club s national officers and some of our GN local committee in a relaxed setting. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12 Bourbon & Battlefield Tour: Time to head south of Louisville into the scenic countryside. Our first stop will be the site of the Battle of Perryville for a self-guided tour of the battlefield. From there, we will venture to Loretto, the home to Maker s Mark for lunch at its Star Hill Provisions restaurant, followed by a tour of the distillery. We will then make a quick stop at Lincoln s boyhood home. The countryside here is hilly, but all facilities are ADA accessible. Made Famous in Louisville Tour: Louisville is famous for many things. We ll tour the Kentucky Derby Museum to learn about legendary horses and jockeys. From there we will travel to the historic Brown Hotel, the home of Louisville s signature dish the Hot Brown Sandwich. Then it s on to the Louisville Slugger Museum and factory to learn about bats and the Slugger s famous clients. Bourbon History Tour: So what s all this about bourbon? This tour will tell you! We will start at the new Spirit of Kentucky exhibit at the Frazier History Museum. This guided tour will tell you about the history of bourbon as well as its agricultural and economic effects of the state of Kentucky. GN 101: Same as Tuesday. 10th Annual Gathering of the Cadillac Queens: Attention All CLC Ladies: We ll be in the land of fast horses and beautiful women for our own Derby party. Wear whatever Derby attire you wish along with your festive hat or fascinator. Join us for our tribute to the Run for the Roses and enjoy some special Kentucky refreshments with the other ladies of the CLC. You can almost hear the sound of the trumpet and the thunder of hooves! Will you Win, Place or Show? Cadillac Welcome Reception and CLC Museum Auction: Wednesday night is the Welcome Reception sponsored by Cadillac, followed by the annual CLCMRC Auction, a time to visit with old friends and make new ones. Plenty of food and a cash bar is available. Dress code is business casual. THURSDAY, JUNE 13 CLC Museum & Research Center Board Meeting: All CLCMRC board members are required to attend. The meeting is open to all members. CLC National Board Meeting: All CLC board members are required to attend. The meeting is open to all members. Southern Indiana Sights to See: We ll visit the Vintage Fire Museum in Jeffersonville s NoCo Arts & Cultural District. Then we re off to the Howard Steamboat Museum, followed by a tour of Schimpff s Confectionery and candy museum. Finally, we will have lunch and tour the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center, the home of the world s largest exposed Devonian fossil bed and was the starting point for the Lewis & Clark Expedition in Beauty of the Bluegrass: This morning, we will head east to Lexington for a tour of the car collection of Tom Jones. After finishing at Tom s collection, we will travel to the historic property of the Woodford Reserve Distillery for lunch on its grounds followed by a tour of the distillery and tasting. Bourbon History Tour: Same as Wednesday. Off to the Races! Churchill Downs Twilight Racing: Horse racing like the owners do it! Our evening at historic Churchill Downs will begin with dinner on the top floor of the Starting Gates Suites. If you don t want to be in a dining room, we will also have access to suites with outdoor balconies which face the track and offer more comfortable seating with great views of the full schedule of racing. FRIDAY, JUNE 14 Corvette Plant and Museum: We will tour the plant in Bowling Green, Ky., then be bused to the Museum for lunch and guided tours. This tour is not available for children under 10. Limit 100 participants. Southern Indiana Sights to See: Same as Thursday. Swope & Spirits Tour: We will tour Swope s Cars of Yesteryear in Elizabethtown. Then we ll enter the beautiful Bernheim Forest for lunch at Isaac s Café in Clermont. From there, it s a quick trip down the road to the Jim Beam American Stillhouse for a tour and tasting. CLC Judging Seminar: This judging seminar, conducted by CLC National Chief Judge Bill Anderson, is required for all judges and tabulators participating in the Saturday car show. River Cruisin Dinner on the Belle: Join us on the Belle of Louisville for a dinner cruise on the Ohio. Southern barbecue is on the menu and a cash bar and music are provided. Limit 225 participants. SATURDAY, JUNE 15 CLC Judges Breakfast: All judges and tabulators are required to attend for lastminute instructions. Gathering for Art s Sake: We will visit the NoCo Arts & Cultural District of Jeffersonville to create some art! CLC members will be performing a work of service for this city by creating art for the community. No artistic talent needed! All art supplies, snacks, music and more are provided. Awards Banquet: The 2019 Grand National culminates Saturday night with the Awards Banquet. A cash bar begins the evening, followed by dinner, then the awards presentations. Dress code is business casual. Please note: The Host Committee reserves the right to alter tour routes or attractions due to unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to notify participants of changes in advance.
