1 My Dear Brother Knights & Families in Kentucky, It is that time of the year! Time for you and your Council to make reservations for the. The annual convention is the highlight of our fraternal year. It is time to come together as Knights, families and friends to celebrate the accomplishments from the past year and to plan for another great year. It is time to come together as Catholic Men and Women to pray and to share our faith with each other. It is also time to renew old friendships and to meet new lifelong friends. Please keep in mind that the Fraternal Year is far from over. The State Convention is an opportunity to put a plan in place to finish the fraternal year strong. We are having a great year and have an excellent chance to regain our presence in the Circle of Honor. The 115th Knights of Columbus State Convention will be held in Lexington, KY on May 18th, 19th, 20th, 2018 at the Clarion Hotel, 1930 Newtown Pike, and Lexington, KY The convention will officially start on Friday May 18 th with a barbecue meal (pork, chicken, coleslaw, seasoned green beans, potato salad or french fries, & lemonade or tea). We will also have an Adoration hour at the hotel. The hospitality rooms will be open until midnight for your enjoyment. Saturday will start with the business meeting; there will also be a Ladies luncheon. There will be an awards ceremony, followed by the celebration of Holy Mass as members and supporters of the Knights of Columbus. Lastly the evening will be capped off with our State Banquet. Again the hospitality rooms will open until midnight. There will be a pizza party for the kids during the Banquet. The enclosed package has all the information and forms you need to plan for the convention. We ask that you ADHERE to all the DEADLINES so that we can properly prepare for your arrival. 2 WHERE: Clarion Hotel 1930 Newtown Pike Lexington, KY (859) WHEN: May 19 th through May 20 th 2018 Rates and Accommodations: The Convention Hotel rates are $89.00 plus 13.42% tax per night. The 2018 Convention Committee will not accept any hotel reservations. Make all guest reservations directly with the hotel at (859) and ask for reservations. Be sure to mention that you are with the Knights of Columbus Group to get the special room rate. The deadline for hotel reservations is APRIL 27 TH, THIS S A FIRM DATE. Reservations must be guaranteed by credit card or advance deposit. If cancellation become necessary, the hotel must receive notification before 6:00PM Eastern on the day of arrival. Check-In and Check-Out: Check-In time is 4:00 PM. We will make every effort to accommodate early Check-In, but we cannot guarantee it. Check-Out time is 12:00 Noon on the day of departure. FROM SOUTH: Take I-75 North to Exit 115 (KY 922/Newtown Pike). Turn Left at the bottom of the ramp. Stay in the left lane and proceed under the interstate.
