We have, is mon started signing of e Fuel Supply Agreement wi CIL for our units at have come up after March We have received environment clearance for e 1600 MW Thermal power plant at Darlipalli village in Sundargarh district. There is a positive development on forest clearance as well. In our endeavor to remain committed to e mission of Clean Power, Green Power, NTPC has laid e foundation stones for production of 10 MW Solar Power Plant at Talcher Kaniha and anoer 5 MW at Faridabad. These plants are zero pollution projects. I take is opportunity to convey my compliments to Talcher Thermal, Tanda, Dadri and Singrauli for achieving highest PLF and DC during e mon of June. Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister of State for Power (Independent Charge), laid e foundation stone of Shivpuri Institute of Technology at Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh on st 21 July Setting up of engineering college is part of our community development initiatives in e state. In solidarity wi e people of Uttarakhand, NTPC Family stands by e State Govt. in is tragic hour of monumental loss and extends whole hearted support to overcome e agony. NTPC has stationed its helicopter in Dehradun at e disposal of e state Government for evacuation and relief work. In a letter addressed to Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Dr. Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC expressed his deep pain and said NTPC stands by e government and people of Uttarakhand in is hour of grief. 5 lekpkj NTPC ties up Loan wi KfW NTPC tied up a fixed interest term loan facility for EUR 95 million wi KfW, e German Government Developmental Financial Institution, to part finance e capital expenditure, on renovation and retrofitting of Electro-static Precipitators, at its various stations to reduce fly ash emissions. The loan agreement was executed by Shri A.K. Singhal, Director (Finance), NTPC on June 27, 2013 at New Delhi. NTPC is one of e few companies around e world considered by e German government for lending on a standalone basis wiout sovereign guarantee. "The deal reinforces e strong and long standing relationship between NTPC and KfW. It is indeed a great honour at KfW and e German government recognize NTPC as a sovereign. It very well reflects e strong credit quality and governance systems of e Company", said Mr. Singhal. The facility has a door to door maturity of 12 years including grace period of 4 years. The loan shall be repaid in 16 equal semi-annual installments. KfW has, in e past, also provided financial cooperation to support e company's renovation & modernization and expansion schemes. The session was attended by over 60 participants from 31 foreign banks and financial institutions including JBIC, KfW and KfW Ipex Bank. Shri A. K. Singhal, Director (Finance), made a presentation covering e company's performance during FY , key concerns and mitigation measures, grow plans and funding requirements which was well received by e participants. This was followed by presentations on credit quality of e company and power sector scenario in India by Standard & Poor's and Fitch Ratings. The Project Meet is a forum where in cross functional groups of NTPC interact and deliberate on feedback received from Vendors, Contractors and Equipment Manufacturers to formulate guidelines and recommendations for e future projects. Subjects covered during e workshop were Miniature Electro-Mechanical (MEMs), in film sensors, fiber optics based temperature sensors and wireless sensor networks for Power Plant Monitoring. Domain leaders from Research and Academic Institutes like IGCAR, CGCRI and IISC Bangalore, who are involved in development of new type of sensors were invited to deliberate on e subject.
