Dear Engineers, My heartfelt greetings to all of you. It gives me very great pleasure to meet you all once again through this communiqué. I wish each and every members with zeal a happy and prosperous New Year I pray the Almighty to shower blessings on all of us for prosperity, success and good health throughout the year. With the support of all members, the 32nd Indian Engineering Congress was organized in a well planned way. The National Advisory Committee, Organising Committee, Technical Committee and Committee Members has actively worked for the congress. The quality of the 32nd IEC 2017 was very much appreciated by all the participants. I thank each and every one for the support and guidance to make the congress a grand success. I am very happy to share that the IE(I), Tamilnadu State Centre organized an All India Seminar on Technological Interventions in Total Value Chain of Farming to Double Farm Income which was held on 20th & 21st January 2018 at IE(I), TNSC, auditorium under the aegis of Agricultural Engineering Division. This seminar was organized in a grand manner. I wish to inform you that 31st National Convention of Aerospace Engineers & National Seminar on Innovation, Trends and Strategies of Indian Aerospace Sector - Present and Future will be held on 9th & 10th February 2018 at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. I invite all the students from Engineering Colleges to participate in this Convention. I request my member friends to bring in more and more new members into the fold of IEI with a slogan EVERY MEMBER INDUCT A NEW MEMBER to double the strength. 2 Proceedings of the 32nd Indian Engineering Congress December 2017 The Institution of Engineers (India) had organized the 32nd Indian Engineering Congress on the theme Innovation in Engineering: Competitive Strategy Perspective during 21st 23rd December 2017 at Hotel Le Royal Meridien, Chennai. The 32nd Indian Engineering Congress was presided over by Shri Navinchandra B Vasoya, President IE(I) and inaugurated by Thiru M C Sampath, Hon ble Minister for Industries, Government of Tamilnadu. Er Rajiv Mittal, Managing Director & Group CEO, VA Tech Wabag Ltd., was the Guest of Honour and Shri Sisir Kumar Banerjee, President-Elect, IE(I) and Dr. Marlene Kanga, President, World Federation of Engineering Organizations were the Special Guest.
