4 The format remains the same - arrival during the Thursday afternoon in time for the Reception and Dinner, overnight stay and then the Conference itself all day on the Friday until 4 pm. The Education & Training Committee has constructed another excellent programme with a wide variety of topics and first-class speakers. The standard attendance fee, for the ninth successive year, remains at VAT This includes Champagne Reception Formal Dinner and wines Free bar after dinner for wines, beer and soft drinks Overnight accommodation All other meals and refreshments Conference papers There is absolutely nothing further to pay Again this year, there are a limited number of other places available VAT for those that wish to arrange their own accommodation VAT (but limited initially to 2 places per firm) to those that wish to attend only the Reception and Dinner (with no accommodation provided) on the evening Thursday 22 March. Summary of Overall Programme Thursday 22 nd March Friday 23 rd March Noon 7 pm 8 pm Overnight 7.30 am 9 am 4 pm Registration open Champagne Reception Black Tie Dinner in Hall. Accommodation in College Breakfast in Hall until 8.45 am Assemble for Conference Venue: College Conference Centre Focused programme in 6 sessions Mid-morning refreshments & lunch in Hall Disperse Attendance restrictions Attendance at the Conference is limited to 235 delegates. Only PLA members may attend. Applications to attend from current non-members will be accepted and processed but on the condition

5 that they have been accepted as members by the date of the Conference. Administrative Arrangements Travel By train to Oxford Main or Parkway stations and then by taxi to the College. By car and bus via one of Oxford s 5 Park & Ride sites. At the end of the Conference, free coach transport to the rail stations. Accommodation The great majority of rooms in College are en suite, and these will be allocated in the order that bookings are received. Then delegates who book later will be asked to choose between - one of the remaining rooms in College which share the showerroom with one other (same sex) delegate or - one of a limited number of en suite rooms in nearby St Catherine s College. A limited number (20) of places without accommodation are available. Booking Instructions Either online booking Members now have the ability to book online for places at PLA events.
