1 16-17 OCTOBER Hours CPD Accreditation Two Day Conference GENERAL INFORMATION Conference registration Pre-conference registration will this year be held on Wednesday evening in the main reception area of the hotel from Registration will open again at 8.30 on Thursday morning in the Kings Suite where refreshments will be served. Pre-conference networking (Wednesday) Taking on board the feedback from previous years, regarding the difficulty in finding space to meet with colleagues in the busy hotel bar, we have arranged for a private bar on Wednesday evening in the Terrace Suite from until approximately to give an extra opportunity to network. This will be a cash bar but drinks can also be placed on your room account. Conference The main meeting on both days will be held in the Palace Suite. Please ensure all mobile devices are turned off during the conference. The break out sessions will be held in the Palace Suite and Arden Suite. Refreshments All meals and refreshments from Thursday morning through to Friday lunch are included in the conference fee. Coffee breaks and a buffet lunch will be served in the Kings Suite on both days. Gala dinner (Thursday) The drinks reception will commence at in the Kings Suite. Dinner will be served at in the Palace Suite. There will be no formal seating plan. Wine will be provided with the meal. A cash bar will be available in the room after the dinner to continue networking with a night-cap. The event bar will close at midnight but the hotel bar will remain open for hotel guests. Dietary requirements There will be a buffet breakfast and lunch offering a wide selection of dishes. The gala dinner on Thursday will be a set menu. If you have any specific dietary requirements (including vegetarian) please contact us on courses@r3.org.uk or inform a member of the R3 courses team at registration. Dress code Dress code for the conference is business casual. For the gala dinner it is smart casual. Joining instructions WiFi Wifi is available in all areas of the hotel and is chargeable at per connection, per 24 hours. Guests can pay directly online, or purchase a code from reception. There is free wifi in the lounge/lobby area for up to an hour.

Residential package conference accommodation check-in ( ) When you arrive on Thursday morning please make your way to the Kings Suite. There will be a separate check-in desk for delegates and the hotel will place all baggage items in a secure room. Please ensure your luggage is clearly labelled with your name. Bedrooms will only be available in the afternoon from approximately You may check with reception during the day whether an earlier check-in is possible, but it is not guaranteed. Room keys will be available to collect from the R3 registration desk after the close of the conference at approximately Any expenses such as bar drinks, telephone calls and newspapers are to be paid for by delegates. If you would like to place incidentals on your room account you will need to provide a credit card swipe with the hotel reception. Breakfast Breakfast will be served in the restaurant between Room service will be available on request at an additional charge to the delegate. Accommodation check-out All delegates are required to check-out of their rooms by on Friday and any additional charges must be settled at this time. Please take into consideration that 300 delegates need to complete checkout before the morning session begins therefore an early start is recommended! 6 MAP & DIRECTIONS Location Hilton Birmingham Metropole National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham, B40 1PP Tel: Fax: How to get there The Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel is located next to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and 8 miles from central Birmingham. It has easy access to the motorway network and the hotel is a 10 minute drive from Birmingham International Airport. The nearest mainline train station is Birmingham International. It is a short taxi ride (10mins) from the station or there is a courtesy shuttle bus that runs every 30mins. Alternatively you can walk using the bridgelink through the NEC to piazza entrance 1 and follow the signs to the Hilton Metropole hotel (approx 10mins). Car Parking There are 600 spaces onsite at the Hilton but being such a large hotel the car park is often full. Charges ar 10 per 24hrs. Over flow parking can be found at the NEC, which is adjacent to the hotel. The EAST CAR PARK (E1-4) is the nearest car park to the hotel. Charges are per 24hrs and must be paid on exit at the car park.
