We will take a short walk to the funicular which will transport us to Ljubljana Castle. 7:30 pm Dinner at restaurant na gradu Enjoy a culinary discovery of fine Slovenian cuisine and wine. 10:00 pm Night tour with our hosts Saturday, 23 June Optional evening tour to visit a local wine bar (at own expense) a shuttle service will also be provided to return to the hotel. 9:30 am Bus departs from the hotel for Lake Bled 10:30 am Sightseeing Our tour will include a visit of Bled Castle and a Pletna boat ride to discover Bled Island and St. Mary church. 1:30 pm Lunch at restaurant Lectar 4:00 pm Free time back in Ljubljana 7:00 pm Gala dinner & auction, Central Pošta Slovenije Sunday, June 24 If you haven t yet mailed your post cards you will be able to do so at the central post office situated across from the hotel. Here we will enjoy a reception followed by dinner served in the atrium of this 19th century building. And don t forget to bring your wallets for our traditional auction to raise money for various scholarships benefiting current and future students from the EMEA Region. 4 Meeting Registration Information Entire Event Regular registration fee Reduced registration fee for SHA students and recent graduates 430 per person ( 490 after May 1, 2017) Any portion of the registration fee that will not be required to cover the cost of the meeting will be used towards the Reduced Registration Fee, and to grow the EMEA Scholarship Fund. 330 per person All SHA students and graduates of Cornell s School of Hotel Administration (CCB) of the years: 2016, 2017 and 2018 (excluding PDP/GMP) are invited to use the reduced registration fee. Separate Events Hospitality Summit and Lunch (only) 75 per person Registration and payment: Please register online via RegOnline: Terms and Conditions The registration fee includes VAT, all activities, all social events (meals and beverages; except for the optional after dinner visit to a local wine bar on Friday, 22 June), and transfers as listed in the program above. It does not include hotel accommodation. Cancellations received after May 18, 2018 will result in a 50% cancellation fee of the full registration fee. Cancellations received after 3 June will result in a 100% cancellation fee of the full registration fee. The charge would be used to cover non-refundable program costs with any outstanding money used towards the EMEA scholarship. Registrations are only considered confirmed and guaranteed upon receipt of payment of the registration fee in full. The program is subject to change. Dress Code Dress code for the meeting is smart casual throughout, except for the Cornell Hospitality Summit (business casual) and the Gala Dinner (business formal). Please dress comfortably and bring adequate shoes as we are inviting you to walk to some events and during the tours! It is only a few steps away from the pedestrian zone in the historic old city, the Triple Bridge, the Ljubljana Castle and all the main city sights. Over the past years, Ljubljana has become a very popular destination and June is a particularly busy period. You may of course choose to fly directly to Ljubljana airport or perhaps consider flying to Zagreb (Croatia) or to the Italian airports in Venice or Trieste (these destinations are all also possible good options for a pre- or post-trip).
