2 MONDAY 6 th 3.30 pm SALVIN CREEK CIRCUIT a bush and parkland walk along Salvin Creek. Meet Park opposite Bassett & Craigmoor Streets, off Pine Mountain Road, Holland Park. UBD Map 181 E/F 13 some uphill walking TUESDAY 7 th 9 am -WALTON BRIDGE, THE GAP TO ASHGROVE follow the bikepaths through picnic grounds and parklands along the shaded banks of Enoggera Creek. Distance 6 km mostly flat terrain Meet Walton Bridge Reserve, Waterworks Road, The Gap UBD Map 138 B 20 Transport Buz Bus The Gap 385 departs 8.35 am King George Square 1C to Gap Village Finish Stewart Place, Ashgrove CITY FERRY CIRCUIT Catch the CityCat to Sydney Street then walk along the floating walkway. Return via city streets or Botanic Gardens. WEDNESDAY 8 th 8 am - CANNON HILL, COLMSLIE BEACH CIRCUIT This walk includes a visit to the Beelarong Community Farm and continues to the Colmslie Beach Octopus Garden. All walks are a circuit. 6 am METROPLEX BRIDGE SUMMIT Follow the path along the river under the Gateway and onto the bridge for great views. Meet Carindale Shopping Centre Bus Station UBD Map 181 N 6 some uphill walking TUESDAY 14 th 10 am - COOCHIEMUDLO ISLAND - is a small island off the coast from Victoria Point, a perfect place to enjoy walks along the sandy beaches, the bush tracks and amongst the mangroves. Distance Varies mostly flat terrain and some beach walking Meet Victoria Point Jetty, Coochiemudlo Island Ferry departs 10 am UBD Map 227 A 1 Transport Finish Bus route 270 departs 9.01 am Carindale Interchange stop J Return to Victoria Point. Ferry runs from island every half hour. Bus returns to the City departing Victoria Point Jetty every hour on the hour. BYO lunch and enjoy a picnic on Coochie. WEDNESDAY 15 th 9 am - YERONGA, MOOROOKA CIRCUIT - Follow Honour Avenue through Yeronga Park with its plaques depicting names of men and women who lost their lives in World War 1. The walk then continues along quiet streets, laneways and parklands through Yeronga and Moorooka. 4 THURSDAY 16 th 8 am - CITY GARDENS. KANGAROO POINT TO SOUTH BANK Walk through the City Botanic Gardens cross the river to continue beside Kangaroo Pt. cliffs returning via the top of the cliffs. WEDNESDAY 29 th 8 am - RIVERSIDE TO HOLMAN STREET VIA DOCKSIDE Walk along the north bank of the river before crossing the Goodwill Bridge and continuing on the south bank to Thornton Street. Then walk through Dockside to the river and continue to Holman Street.
