We come to QME because it creates business and QME gets the right people through the door, people who are interested in moving forward with their technology and decreasing their costs, which is important with the recent downturn in the mining industry. We had a really busy day first day, with lots of customers coming through and checking out our products. We ve had some really good leads, from some really good clients and customers coming through looking for solutions for both small and large projects, which we are hopeful we will get work out of. POST-SHOW REPORT JULY 2014 MACKAY SHOWGROUND REEDMININGEVENTS undertook a multitude of marketing activities to ensure a high quality audience of mining and engineering professionals were engaged and attracted to QME Direct Mail Approximately 50,000 trade invitations were distributed to industry personnel using targeted mailing lists, including previous REEDMININGEVENTS visitors, trade magazine subscribers, association members and externally sourced lists. These were released to the industry approximately five weeks prior to the exhibition. A further 85,000 were sent to exhibitors for distribution to customers. E mail Marketing An extensive marketing campaign was used to both encourage new visitors and remind all registered visitors to attend the exhibition. An invitation was sent to previous REEDMININGEVENTS visitors approximately 3 months prior to QME Another reminder was sent to all prospects 2 months prior to the event. Targeted Reminder s were then sent out weekly to both registered visitors and non-registered prospects from 6 weeks out. Daily reminders were sent from 1 day prior through to the last day of the exhibition. Advertising To target potential QME visitors, an extensive advertising campaign commenced six months prior to the show. The campaign incorporated a combination of various channels, including: Trade Publications advertising in ten major industry publications, plus two inflight publications. Online advertising in five major industry websites and e-newsletters. Newspaper advertising in selected metro and regional newspapers. Radio a campaign of thirty-second ads aired starting three weeks before QME across multiple regional stations. Outdoor advertising including airport signage and roadside billboards. TV advertising starting before QME, statewide across various stations QME14_ur gent ad T16: 23: 41+10: 00 Telemarketing A successful telemarketing campaign to previous REEDMININGEVENTS visitors was undertaken in the final month before QME SMS SMS blasts were distributed to preregistered visitors as well as nonregistered prospects as a reminder one week prior to the exhibition. Public Relations The REEDMININGEVENTS in-house communications officer undertook a comprehensive campaign covering industry, regional and mainstream media. Extensive editorial coverage of QME 2014, individual exhibitors, products and parallel events was secured in all key mining industry trade journals and in mainstream media. QME Website The QME website proved to be a valuable tool for visitors and exhibitors to access information about the event. All exhibitors were provided with the opportunity to provide a 100 word company profile that is listed on the website. The QME mobile app was developed for both iphone & Android, comprising a range of highly functional features to assist trade visitors and exhibitors to interact as well as to plan their trip and further enhance their QME experience. Exhibition Directory Distributed to every visitor, the Exhibition Directory was again a valuable reference tool during and after the show. YOUR BUSINESS CASE FOR VISITING...
