2 ABOUT US The is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization formed in Our mission is to help the City of El Paso in expanding, upgrading and promoting the El Paso Zoo. Our financial support goes towards capital improvements, animal care, conservation, and educational programs at the Zoo. The Zoo Society s vision is to be the catalyst for the El Paso Zoo to provide a premier wildlife and natural habitat experience for the residents and visitors to the Paso del Norte region. 3 ABOUT YOUR EL PASO ZOO The El Paso Zoo is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Sitting on 35 acres, this facility houses animals representing over 220 species, including such critically endangered species as the orangutan and the Amur leopard. The El Paso Zoo creates memories, reinforces values, and ignites passion for nature and wildlife. It elevates the imagination, brings the world to West Texas and allows more than 350,000 annual visitors to experience animals from around the globe. The Zoo reinforces students classroom lessons, provides families with a venue for exploration and wonderment, and builds understanding of our ability to conserve locally for global impact. Supporting the El Paso Zoo through the Zoological Society strengthens our community s most-visited family attraction and enriches the essence of the borderland. 4 CURRENT/FUTURE PROJECTS of the zoological society ONGOING OPERATIONAL SUPPORT Over the last decade, the El Paso Zoological Society has raised more than $7,750,000 for the El Paso Zoo, funding capital improvements, veterinary equipment, animal enrichment, world conservation projects and research, and educational programs for low-income schools. GET READY TO FLAMINGLE! *Flamingos Our focus for 2018 is a 4,000 sq. ft. animal yard, with a 760 sq. ft. animal holding building for our newest exhibit, FLAMINGOS! Located at the entry to the Americas, this exhibit will provide sound, color and excitement as guests enter the updated area. *Giant Anteater *Asian Otter *Future projects in need of funding

5 Howl-in-one Play golf FORE wildlife! Be part of the FIRST fundraiser held at TOPGOLF El Paso as the Zoo Society proudly hosts the Howl-in-One Tournament. Players will be greeted by a bucket of beer, eat from gourmet carving stations, and play two rounds of a game exclusive only to fundraisers. Guests are welcomed to cheer on their favorite golfer for a chance to win $10k and other prizes. this first-of-its-kind event TODAY! Fans of the Star Wars movie series will enjoy an evening of photo ops with Darth Vader and his Storm Troopers, a viewing of a Star Wars movie in the Wildlife Amphitheater, Star Wars themed games and prizes, and a costume contest for guests of all ages!
