Sponsor Families Needed The Department of Cadet Activities at The Citadel is looking for families that would be willing to become a sponsor family for th class (freshman) cadets. A sponsor family provides a home away from home two to four times a month, during general leave (free time), for 2-3 freshmen cadets. During their free time, these young men and women ask for very little-a place to hang out, sleep, watch TV, sometime even study, and have a home cooked meal. More importantly, they often need someone to just talk to or listen to them. With nearly 00 out-of-state freshmen coming to The Citadel, we are in need of many sponsors/families to help us. Project San Pedro volunteer needed! We are seeking a volunteer to help with miscellaneous duties of Project San Pedro, the diocesan child sponsorship program. Project San Pedro is an enriching program that manages Catholic school sponsorships of young children who are currently attending school with the Sisters of Bethany in San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala. Duties would include mostly data entry as well as correspondence with sponsors. A great opportunity for a retiree who is comfortable with basic Excel. Leyendo con ojos modernos las palabras de Pablo, salta a la vista inmediatamente una dificultad. Pablo recomienda al marido que «ame» a su mujer (y esto está bien), pero además recomienda a la mujer que sea «sumisa» al marido, y esto, en una sociedad fuertemente (y justamente) consciente de la paridad de sexos, parece inaceptable. De hecho es verdad. Sobre este punto San Pablo está condicionado en parte por la mentalidad de su tiempo. Sin embargo la solución no está en suprimir de las relaciones entre marido y mujer la palabra «sumisión», sino, si acaso, en hacerla recíproca, como recíproco debe ser también el amor. Someterse significa, en este caso, tener en cuenta la voluntad del cónyuge, su parecer y su sensibilidad; dialogar, no decidir solo; saber a veces renunciar al propio punto de vista. En resumen, acordarse de que se ha pasado a ser «cónyuges», esto es, literalmente, personas que están bajo «el mismo yugo» libremente acogido. El Apóstol brinda a los esposos cristianos como modelo la relación de amor que existe entre Cristo y la Iglesia, pero explica enseguida en qué ha consistido tal amor: «Cristo amó a la Iglesia y se entregó a sí mismo por ella». El verdadero amor se manifiesta en la «entrega» al otro. Encuentro Mundial de Familias Hoy domingo concluyó el ENCUENTRO MUNDIAL DE FAMILIAS en Irlanda con una misa que celebró el Papa Francisco, el evento se inauguró el martes 21, entre el 22 y el 2 se llevó a cabo el congreso sobre el tema: El Evangelio de la Familia alegría por el mundo. Los eventos principales del Encuentro Mundial de las Familias 2018 tuvieron lugar en la Royal Dublin Dublín, en un prominente centro de conferencias, en el Estadio de Croke Park y el Phoenix Park al igual que en otros lugares dentro y alrededor de la ciudad. Además, en todo el país se llevaron a cabo eventos relacionados que implicaron la recepción y acogida de internacionales. Se exigieron entradas para todos los eventos oficiales. Asistieron miles de personas y familias de toda Irlanda y el mundo. Algunos lo hicieron por cuenta propia y otros lo hicieron en grupo o como parte de una organización. Tanto adultos como jóvenes y niños fueron invitados a participar del encuentro. Esta reunión importante y jubilosa estuvo precedida por un período de catequesis/programa de educación en la fe, preparado por la iglesia en Irlanda para uso de las parroquias locales y alrededor del mundo. El programa Amoris: Hablemos Familia! Seamos Familia! es una plataforma multimedia interactiva de recursos catequísticos que estuvo disponible en el sitio web junto con una aplicación específica. Está inspirado fundamentalmente en la Exhortación Apostólica Amoris Laetitia publicada por el Papa Francisco en marzo de 2016, después de los Sínodos de la familia celebrados en 201 y 2015.

Apoyo a la parroquia mediante el sistema de sobres;.) La participación en al menos un ministerio u organización en la parroquia se prefiere. Estos criterios se utilizan para verificar el estado del feligrés en nuestra parroquia para: proporcionar certificados; inscripción en escuelas parroquiales; participación en ministerios sacramentales, educativos y pastoral social; actividades y programas de enriquecimiento; y uso de instalaciones y servicios. Un feligrés inactivo por seis meses se moverá a un estado inactivo. PARA RECIBIR SACRAMENTOS Para los Sacramentos de Bautismo (para niños de 5 años o menor) y Matrimonio, incluyendo una Quinceañera, se requiere una cita con el Padre Arnulfo antes de comenzar sus arreglos. Para los Sacramentos de Bautismo (para niños de 6 años o mas), primera comunión y confirmación para todas edades, comuníquese con la coordinadora de la educación religiosa. Por favor, llame a la oficina parroquial para figar su cita o para mas información. Tendremos reuniones con los padres de todos los niños registrados en una clase sacramental comenzando el domingo, 2 de septiembre después de la Misa de la 1pm. También tenemos el problema de que cuando los niños no están supervisados, desordenan el baño con papel por el piso y se inunda con suciedad por tanto papel que se usa. Ayúdenos a mantener a nuestra iglesia limpia y a respetar la casa del Señor. Todas clases empiezan el domingo, 23 de septiembre. 10am para todos de primer año de primera comunión 11:5am para todos los demás (excepto 2do año de RICA) 2:15pm para nuestro 2do año de los jóvenes de RICA MINISTERIO DE AYUDA DESPENSA Y CLOSET El Padre Arnulfo se enorgullece de anunciar el gran inicio del Ministerio de Ayuda: Despensa y Closet en la Parroquia Santo Tomas Apóstol. El objetivo principal es proporcionar asistencia de emergencia con Alimento y Vestido a los feligreses y miembros de la comunidad en situación de necesidad. Un grupo de voluntarios se ha integrado para formar este Ministerio de Ayuda. Otro servicio a ser ofrecido será el proporcionar información sobre las ayudas o servicios disponibles a través de Caridades Católicas, así como The United Way. El Padre Arnulfo expresa su agradecimiento a los Caballeros de Colon (Consejo 8900), por la organización de la colección de alimentos realizada durante la pasada Cuaresma; a través de los cuales se iniciará esta despensa de alimentos en nuestra Parroquia. Este Ministerio de Ayuda, también iniciará un Closet de Ropa al servicio de los necesitados. Todos estos servicios serán posibles gracias a la generosidad de ustedes, nuestros feligreses. Los invitamos a donar ropa limpia y en buen estado, así como alimentos para apoyar este hermoso Ministerio. La Despensa y el Closet estarán abiertos los segundos sábados del mes desde las 10:00 AM hasta las 12:00 del mediodía. Las personas interesadas en recibir ayuda, deberán dirigirse al salón parroquial. Luego los voluntarios los guiarán hasta el lugar de la despensa. Los letreros con la señalización correspondiente se colocarán solo en los días que la despensa esté abierta. Esperamos su apoye a este nuevo Ministerio con ropa, alimentos y oración por los necesitados. Para obtener más información, llame al y pregunte por Gloria. Santisimo Los invitamos semanalmente los jueves entre las 7 y las 8 de la noche para compartir una hora de Adoración. El último jueves del mes el tiempo de Adoración se extiende hasta las 10pm.
