3 March 15, 2015 Dear Classmates, Our 40 year Class Reunion is right around the corner. Enclosed are the details. The main events will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott in Jacksonville. This is one of Jacksonville s newest hotels that is opening this spring. It is located at the end of Henderson Drive, behind Longhorn Steakhouse. We have tried to include something for everyone at minimal cost. Friday night will be an informal get together with a cash bar at the hotel. Come and see your old friends. Meet for breakfast Saturday and spend the afternoon with some of them. If you don t play golf or want to do the distillery tour, maybe you can get together and go to the beach or just hang out poolside if you re staying at the hotel. You can do as little or as much as you like. The only event we will be actually charging for is Saturday night. Everything else is pay as you go. Due to the commitment we have to make with the hotel, we need to have a reliable head count and money to pay for the dinner, as that is our major expense. We plan to have an address directory available at dinner as we have in the past. We will also have a photographer taking pictures for an optional Memory Book of the reunion. See the enclosed sheet for information on it. Saturday night will be a buffet dinner, with 2 entrées, (beef or chicken, the chicken dish is pasta and will be available without chicken for vegetarians). There will also be a cash bar available. We will have various awards and door prizes. The Committee has also planned a surprise for this year at dinner. We hope you ll enjoy it! After dinner there will be a DJ and dancing until the wee hours of the night. The Courtyard Marriott has set aside a block of rooms at a rate of $ a night. To make a reservation, call (912) and ask for Donna McHugh. Tell her you are with the JHS Class of 75 Reunion. As the hotel has not opened yet, if you want to make reservations now, you must call this number. Enclosed is a list of other hotels in the area, if you are interested in staying somewhere other than the Courtyard Marriot. Enclosed is a registration form, please fill out the form and return it to us by June 10, Please return it even if you are not attending so that we can verify that we have the correct contact information for you. The cost for the Reunion is $35.00 per person, if paid by June 10th. If you respond after June 10 th or at the door, the cost will be $50.00 per person. This cost includes dinner, DJ, address book, PO Box, copies, mailings, etc) Please respond promptly, the sooner we know how many people to plan for, the better we can make the reunion Please let us know even if you are interested in events other than Saturday night only, so that we can ensure that we plan for enough space and other things to make each event the best it can be.
