1 Look flamenco w Move flamenco w Feel flamenco Teo Morca returns to Gainesville, Florida for an all-flamenco weekend workshop from Thursday, August 3, 2006 through Sunday, August 6, 2006, with private and semi-private classes available the week before. The curriculum will include intermediate technique, stressing the Morca method of working from the upper body down, with stretching and toning sessions in the morning, and charlas (informal lectures) in the afternoons. Repertoire will focus on two of the most important palos in flamenco: seguiriyas and bulerías. These classes are designed for those familiar with the 12-count compás and will provide insight into the complete structure of both dances as well as a beautiful choreography for seguiriyas and Morca s famous instant bulerías recipe. Still confused about some aspects of flamenco? That s what the charla is for. The charlas are informal lecture and Q&A sessions. Teo unravels the mystery of flamenco for beginners through advanced alike. This is your chance to truly understand structure, vocabulary, costuming, and anything else you ve ever wanted to ask. Please bring a pen and notebook with you to this class. Join us in Gainesville, Florida to study with one of the last great flamenco masters. Tuition is only $285 for the entire workshop, with flexible fees for private and semiprivate classes. Beginners are welcome to experience this level of training, so don t be shy! Studio Location Cameron Dancenter West Haile Village Center 5211 SW 91 st Terrace (352) Please note that exits 75 and 76 on the map have been renumbered as 384 and 387 to correspond with Florida s Interstate Mileage Numbering System. Traveling on I-75, take exit 384 (Archer Road/SR 24). Turn west onto SR 24, also known as SW Archer Road. Turn right onto SW 75 th Street, also known as Tower Road. Turn left onto SW 46 th Boulevard (the entrance to Haile Plantation, a planned community/golf and country club). Follow the road as it curves and cross over the intersection at SW 91 st Street. Turn immediately right into Haile Village Center. The studio is a few buildings down on the right. Parking is available on the street. More information is available at

Bottled water (or your drink of choice) and snacks are permitted in the studio, and there will be plenty of time for lunch each day to recharge your batteries. Please make sure you arrive early enough to ensure a parking spot for yourself.

4 Tuition and Fees The entire workshop is only $285. This covers studio rental as well as all of Teo s travel expenses, including plane fare, car rental, and hotel reservations. No singleor partial-class options are available, as the cost to the workshop organizers and to Teo remain the same, regardless of how many students attend each class. A deposit of $100 is required to reserve a space, with the balance due at check-in on the morning of August 3 rd. Checks, money orders, and Paypal are all accepted. For your safety, please do not mail cash. Once you register, an confirmation will be sent to you confirming your spot at the workshop. Please let us know when you will be arriving and whether you will be taking any private or semi-private classes with Teo before the workshop begins. The registration form is the very last page in this packet. While You are Here On the following pages you will find locator maps to hotels and restaurants in the area. The studio is located between Archer Road and Newberry Road, two of the biggest streets in Gainesville. You will find plenty of safe, clean hotels, many of the ones on Archer Road having just been constructed within the last couple of years. There is also no shortage of chain restaurants such as Bennigan s, Chili s, Perkins, and TGIFriday s, as well as a number of smaller places in Haile Village Center (good for a quick lunch on workshop days) and around Gainesville in general.
