1 October 2005 Dear Region Coaches, Please note the following information pertaining to the NCAA Southeast Region Cross Country Championships: 1. Entry Forms: Each coach is responsible for the online submission of their roster and eventually to declare the seven athletes who will compete in the regional meet. The NCAA has entered into an agreement with Direct Athletics to coordinate the online submission process. Access to the online forms is available at the following address: Coaches are to submit the form online no later than Wednesday, November 2, Late team entries are charged $300, individual late entries are charged $100 per athlete to a maximum of $ Declarations: Coaches will have an opportunity to make FINAL DECLARATIONS at the coaches meeting Friday, November 11. Final declarations will be made on site at the coaches meeting. 3. Coaches Social: Will begin at 7:00pm, Friday, November 11, 2005 in the Salon of the City Hotel, to be followed by the coaches meeting. City Hotel is located at 203 W. Greenville Blvd. 4. Coaches Meeting: Friday, November 11, 2005 at 7:30 pm at City Hotel. City Hotel will offer a team pasta dinner from 6:30 8:30 pm for all teams. If interested, see enclosed flyer for more details. Race Site: Overton s Lake Kristi. Directions: 10 th Street (33 East) to Mobley Bridge Rd. (approximately 8 miles); turn right; Lake Kristi is 2 miles on the right. In order to maintain this relationship as host of this meet, your support is needed as follows: A. Overton s Lake Kristi will be open Friday, November 11, 2005 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm for course inspection and team warm-up. Course will close at 5:00 pm, no exceptions. B. All teams note map for parking and team set-up. C. Athletes and coaches: Please stay off golf course greens and lawn of the Overton home. (See map for off limits.) It is important for us to show our respect to Mr. Overton and his family for use of this beautiful facility. D. For the entry to the cross-country course use only Robert Little Road. (See map for parking.) Cars and vans will park in the general parking area along the gravel

2 road off of Robert Little Rd. Busses will park along Robert Little Rd and on the west side of Mobley Bridge Rd. Please note: Overton s Lake Kristi is the reason we are able to host this meet. Without Parker Overton, his fine staff and his offer to help accommodate all of us at ECU, you and your athletes, we could not make this happen. Please take any opportunity to thank him, his family and staff. 1. Race Times: Men s Race 11:00 am, Saturday, November 12, 2005 Women s Race 12:15 pm, Saturday, November 12, Timing Systems: Timing and scoring services will be provided by Young & Associates (chip system) and Flash Results. 3. Course: There is a map enclosed. Some changes have been made to the course and measurements performed to assure accurate course length. 4. Results: Hard copy results will not be faxed or mailed. Full results will be available at the Operation Center on site after the meet and will also be available at ncaasport.com and ecupirates.com. 5. There will be a Southeast Regional Awards Ceremony immediately following the men s race on Saturday, November 12, Your support is needed. Please plan to attend.
