4 EVENT CENTER/FIELDS DIRECTIONS Auraria Event Center: Traveling north to Denver Take I-25 toward downtown and exit on the Auraria Parkway (#210C). Travel on the Auraria Parkway east coming toward downtown Denver. Turn right at Ninth Street. Tivoli Building will be on your left. The Auraria Event Center is located directly southeast of the Tivoli building and parking lot. Traveling south to Denver Take I-25 toward downtown and exit at Speer Blvd. South. Take the bridge across I-25 to Auraria Parkway. Take a right on Auraria Parkway and immediately get in the far left lane. Turn left at Ninth Street. Tivoli Building will be on your left. The Auraria Event Center is located directly southeast of the Tivoli building and parking lot. 7 Athletic Training Room Head Athletic Trainer Greg Holm, MS, ATC, CSCS A Certified Athletic Trainer will be present at all home events. The Athletic Training Room will be open a minimum of two hours before the start of the competition, and approximately one hour after the event. The Athletic Training Room is located on the second floor of the Auraria Events Center, Room 213. Visiting Certified Athletic Trainers will have access to modalities in the Athletic Training Room, including ice, hot pack, cold and warm whirlpool, electric stim, and ultrasound. Teams traveling with Athletic Training Students will be allowed to use all the above modalities, providing that they have a note from their Certified Athletic Trainer. Teams traveling without a Certified or Student Athletic Trainer will have access to care from the host Certified Athletic Trainer, but the team will need a note from their Certified Athletic Trainer if modalities are needed prior to competition. On the sidelines we will have water, cups, ice, and a blood born pathogen kit available at each bench. Crutches, splints, and AED will be located in a central location. Page 7 of 14

8 Men s and Women s Soccer Adrianne Almaraz, Head Women s Soccer Coach, Ken Parsons, Head Men s Soccer Coach, Facility name: Auraria Field Location of facility: Located on the corner of Speer Blvd. and Auraria Parkway, directly behind tennis courts and next to baseball field. Practices: Practice field is next to the game field. Walk through only on game field. Contact head coaches Adrianne Almaraz or Ken Parsons to schedule practices. Bench Locations: Visitors will use the bench to the right of the scorer s table as you face the field. Visitor s locker room: Located in the Auraria Event Center adjacent to game field. Use PE locker room. Restrooms: Located in the Auraria Event Center, in the Tivoli Student Union and behind third base of the baseball field. Supplies: All supplies and training equipment will be at the field. Training room is located on the second floor of the Auraria Event Center. Filming Locations: Filming can be done from the stands on the east side of the field. Admission / Parking: Admission is free for all regular season games. Buses can drop off teams at the field, then park in Lot F. Institutional vans and cars should park in the Tivoli Student Union Parking Lot off of Ninth Street and Auraria Parkway. Bring your parking stubs to the field for validation. Parking for fans is available in Lot R, directly east of the field, and is free one hour before the game. 9 Volleyball Debbie Hendricks, Head Coach, Facility name: Auraria Event Center Location of facility: The Auraria Event Center is located on the northeast part of campus on the south side of the soccer fields. Visitor s locker room: Located in the Auraria Event Center. Contact a coach or athletic administrator for specific locker room information. Supplies: Water is provided on the bench. Filming Location: Opposing coaches will receive a DVD of the match prior to leaving the gym. RMAC guidelines will also be followed for downloading video during conference play. Admission and Parking: For all Metro State students with current Student IDs admission is free. General admission is $8, students are $5, and children (6-11) are $1. Buses should drop teams off at the Auraria Event Center and then park in Lot F. Institutional vans and cars should park in the Tivoli Student Union Parking Lot off of Ninth Street and Auraria Parkway. Bring your parking stubs to the gym for validation. Parking for fans is located in Lot R next to the soccer fields and is free one hour before the match. Practice Information: Contact Calvin Tang at Visitor s locker room: Located in the Auraria Event Center. Contact a coach or athletic administrator for specific locker room information. Visiting Bench: Bench is located to the right of the scorer s table as you face the floor. Supplies: In the locker room, a white board and markers will be provided, and water is provided at the bench. Filming Location: A DVD will be provided to the opposing coach after the game. RMAC guidelines on downloading video will also be followed. Admission and Parking: For Metro State students with current Student IDs, admission is free. General admission is $8, students (12-18) are $5, and children (6-11) are $1. Buses should drop teams off at the Auraria Event Center and then park in Lot F. Supplies: A certified athletic trainer will be in attendance at all home matches, and water and ice will be provided. Filming Location: N/A Admission/Parking: Admission is free. Parking for team vans is available in the Tivoli Lot off Ninth Street and Auraria Parkway. Please take your ticket to the courts for validation. Parking for fans is available in Lot R, right next to the tennis courts, and is free one hour before the match.
