1 OVERVIEW OVERVIEW Galen Center opened its doors on October 21, 2006, realizing a 126-year dream of the USC founders: to strengthen the bond between the University of Southern California and its neighboring communities. USC s newest arena is also an anchor for the USC campus, extending and unifying the Trojan community. ARENA FEATURES Galen Center is an impressive facility that maximizes every inch of its 300,000 square feet. With a seating capacity of 10,258 and a majestic view of downtown Los Angeles through its six two-story windows, Galen Center offers a unique experience. Our state-of-theart facility incorporates a 4-sided, 220-square foot HD Video Screen; 11 private luxury suites, with optional full catering available; 4 feature-laden player lounges; ample concessions; spacious restrooms; a Merchandise Store; a weight room; a medical training room and other top-ofthe-line amenities. The gem of the Galen Center is the 5,400 square foot Brian & Susan Kennedy Founders Club, which boasts a full bar; 3 projectors and display screens; (3) 63 HD LCD Flat-Screen Televisions; (5) 40 HD LCD Flat-Screen Televisions; 4 microphones as well as DVD/ CD/VHS playback capabilities for events. The Founders Club provides high definition flat-screen televisions and projectors that support presentations with enhanced visual aids. With flexible seating options to fit any size audience, The Founders Club also offers the optimal environment, from lectures to discussion groups, or private dinners and other intimate engagements. Your event will come to life in this impressive setting of vaulted ceilings and dark cherry wood pillars. But your experience is not only inside, it continues onto the large outdoor patio, which can be subdivided with privacy walls. 6 ATHLETIC PAVILION ATHLETIC PAVILION ATHLETIC PAVILION Situated on the concourse level, south of the main arena, the 45,000 square foot Athletic Pavilion offers unobstructed viewing for large events, athletic competitions, as well as film and broadcast productions. When fully utilized, the Athletic Pavilion offers nine full-sized volleyball courts or four regulation-sized basketball courts for simultaneous competitions, which is ideal for tournament play. The Athletic Pavilion utilizes an automated wall system that can retract vertically into the ceiling pockets when necessary. The Pavilion also offers optional bleacher seating for up to 1,000 spectators. Galen Center s unique advantage is that multiple teams or events can take place simultaneously and privately.
