Mazatzal Hotel & Casino is about 90 miles from Phoenix. Note: Coming from the south, once you pass the Verde River bridge there are NO gas stations until you reach the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino. From the White Mountains Go westbound to 40, connect to the 260 in Show Low where it intersects with SR 87 in the heart of Payson. Turn south (or left on SR87) through town to the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino, which will be on your left. From North, Flagstaff and I-40 Take I-17 south to Exit 287. Travel approximately 54 miles and you ll see a sign for SR-26. Then 260 east to highway SR 87, then highway SR 87 into Payson.
