4 basics FOR EACH OCCASION, A GUARANTEE Our philosophy is simple: listen carefully, plan accordingly and leave nothing to chance. To that end, we offer the following rentals and services with each respective package: WEDDING CEREMONIES Exclusive use of the venue for one hour Bridal dressing room within steps of the ceremony venue Natural golf course setting with backdrop of oak trees and rolling hillsides White padded chairs, setup of your choice Fruit-infused water station Reserved one-hour rehearsal time* Suspension of golf play during ceremony RECEPTIONS Exclusive use of the Greens Event Center for five hours Pre-set venue-supplied round tables, chairs, china, flatware and stemware Traditional-length tablecloths and napkins (offered in ivory, white and black, other colors available for an additional fee) Cake-cutting service Bar and bartending service Dance floor Menu tasting** (buffet excluded) Cake, gift, memory and guest book tableaux *Rehearsals are planned on a weekday during the week of the wedding **Menu tastings are included with food and beverage minimums of $4,000 4

16 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BRIDE DRESSING ROOM A dressing room will be provided on the day of the wedding for the bride and her attendants. Please note that there will be a $400 charge if excessive cleaning is required. The dressing room is to be vacated after the ceremony and all personal items are to be removed. LINEN Traditional-length tablecloths and napkins are available in white, ivory or black and are complimentary with the reception package. Specialty colors or fabrics are available for an additional fee. Please contact the Catering Manager for more information. CEREMONY REHEARSALS Welk Resorts San Diego will schedule a one-hour rehearsal prior to the wedding day. Rehearsals are scheduled upon request during normal business hours. CHILDREN S MEALS Children s meals are available for children 3 10 years of age. Please notify the Catering Manager of the number of expected children when the Banquet Event Order is created so that pricing can be guaranteed. Children s head count is due with the final guest count. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGE Due to state and local ordinances, all food and beverage must be consumed on the premises and purchased solely through Welk Resorts San Diego. Excess food will not be allowed to leave the venue. Department of Health regulates and prohibits pets in all food service and public areas with the exception of service animals. ALCOHOL Welk Resorts San Diego s liquor license requires that alcoholic beverages only be dispensed by our employees and bartenders. All alcoholic beverages and services are regulated by the State of California. As a licensee, Welk Resorts San Diego is responsible for the administration of these regulations. Therefore, no liquor, beer or wine beverages may be brought on premises from outside sources without prior written approval from the Director of Food and Beverage. Alcoholic beverage service will be denied to those people who appear to be intoxicated, unruly or under 21 years of age. Welk Resorts San Diego reserves the right to close the bar at any time necessary. DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE Dates are considered definite upon receipt of a signed agreement and deposit. The remaining balance is due fourteen (14) business days prior to the event and is payable by credit card, cashier s check or money order. If paying the final deposit by personal check, payment must be received thirty (30) days prior to the event. INCLEMENT WEATHER Welk Resorts San Diego cannot be held responsible for inclement weather in any way. 16

17 In the event of such conditions, the ceremony and/or reception will be moved to the most appropriate indoor or covered space, based on availability. Without a signed contract and deposit, all prices are subject to change without notice. All prices quoted are subject to a service charge of 20% and applicable sales tax. Attendance must be specified fourteen (14) days in advance via a signed Banquet Event Order. If final guest count is not provided to the Catering Manager by this time, the estimated figure becomes the guarantee and the client will be charged as such. A maximum of two (2) entrée selections may be made for plated meals. Client must provide printed place cards indicating entrée selection for each guest. Exact guarantees must be provided fourteen (14) business days prior to event. Welk Resorts San Diego agrees to prepare for 5% over the guaranteed number for the function. Welk Resorts San Diego will not assume any responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the Resort prior to, during or following the function. The Resort is excused from performance of the contract, at the Resort s option, and without obligation to the patron for damages, if the performance of the Resort is prevented, substantially interfered with, or rendered significantly more difficult due to labor troubles, disputes or strikes, government regulation, utility shortages or restrictions, restrictions upon travel, transportation, foods and/or beverages, or supplies, acts of God and/or other cause whether or not specifically enumerated herein beyond the control of the Resort. Room rental fees and/or food and beverage minimums may apply. Please check with the Catering Manager for details. Functions that exceed the allotted time noted on the Banquet Event Order will be subject to an additional $500 labor fee per hour. No outside food or beverage may be brought onto Resort grounds by the patrons, guests or invitees without the express written consent of the Director of Food and Beverage. The Resort reserves the right to charge for the service of such food and beverage. Resort regulations and Department of Health regulations do not permit removal of food at conclusion of the function. 17
