2 OUR FACILITIES TA Canada Games Centre The Canada Games Centre () is a multi-use community sport, recreation, and wellness facility that has something to offer people of all ages and abilities. This bright, energetic, and inspiring venue is the perfect place for meetings, events, tournaments, and community functions. The arena is available for ice bookings October to March, and dry floor bookings from May to August. The arena features an NHL ice sheet, lobby, concession, mezzanine with kitchen, dressing rooms, storage and tiered spectator seating, as well as an adjacent outdoor dog training facility. 3 MM SP Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre The Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre, situated near the Canada Games Centre, features rental amenities such as the Grey Mountain Banquet room, kitchen, and parking lot. The Centre has hosted large-scale sporting events and is also home to Tennis Yukon, Whitehorse Curling Club, and the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club, which boast world class curling facilities and cross country ski trails. Our amenities include: Grey Mountain Room Mount McIntyre Kitchen Parking Lot Please contact the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club, Whitehorse Curling Club, or Tennis Yukon for rentals of their leased areas of the Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre. 1 Sumanik Drive, Whitehorse, Yukon Shipyards Park This premiere park for festivals and community events is located on the banks of the Yukon River. Designed to be enjoyed year round, it is a large open space that lends itself to a multitude of activities. The Riverfront Trail passes through Shipyards Park at the north end of downtown and is also a stopping point for the Whitehorse Waterfront Trolley. 4 ARENAS TA Takhini Ice Main Floor, Takhini Arena A standalone indoor arena featuring an NHL sized ice sheet surrounded by rink boards. Arena has 5 dressing rooms, plus an officials room. Size: 85 x 200 ft. Seating capacity: 1,535 Dry Floor rentals available May to August. ATCO Ice Indoor Olympic sized ice sheet with an option to open rink boards into the adjoining Leisure Ice space for special event or dry floor rentals. Amenities for ATCO Ice include four dressing rooms, an official's room, and family change room. Size: 100 x 200 ft. Seating capacity: 270 Dry Floor rentals available May to August. Northwestel Arena Indoor NHL sized ice sheet adjacent to ATCO ice for convenient tournament play. Amenities for Northwestel Arena include four dressing rooms, an official's room, and family change room. Size: 85 x 200 ft. Seating capacity: 240 Dry Floor rentals available May to June. INDOOR POOL Whitehorse Lions Aquatic Centre The aquatic centre features a lazy river, sauna, steam room, swirl pool / hot tub, shallow leisure pool with a variety of water features, and a 25 metre tank including a diving board and tarzan rope, with 8 lanes that range in depth from 1.1 m to 3.5 m. 5 INDOOR GYMS & FIELD Coca-Cola Fieldhouse Indoor artificial turf, primarily used for soccer. The Fieldhouse is also ideal for ultimate frisbee, rugby, and family fun days. Size: 80 x 180 ft. Seating capacity: 300 Powerade Flexihall Sprung hardwood floor featuring court lines for badminton, basketball (full and half court), tennis, volleyball and indoor soccer. Our spacious facility is a great venue to host sports tournaments and community events. Sport standards are included with rental. Size: 80 x 180 ft. 6 MEETING ROOMS MM Boardroom This room with a view, features large windows, oval conference table, comfortable padded chairs, a whiteboard, bulletin boards, projector screen, and a speaker phone in the center of the room. Room layout: theatre, classroom or boardroom Suggested capacity: 20 Grey Mountain Room Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre Carpeted banquet room with a hardwood dance floor and windows that provide a view of Whitehorse. Coat racks and public washrooms are available in the room, and an accessible washroom can be made available by request. The kitchen adjacent to the room can also be rented as a staging area. VISUAL DISPLAYS Looking to promote an event or fundraiser in the concourse? Kiosk Rentals Canada Games Centre A kiosk rental is a great place for groups and organizations for promotion or gathering public input. Choose a kiosk space that includes 1 table and 2 chairs or book a static display for your pop-up banner.
