We believe that it is our responsibility before God to create an environment which is not only exciting and fun, but more importantly, provides physical, emotional, and spiritual safety for each one of our guests. We place a high value on purposeful standards and careful procedures in the way that we care for the safety and development of the youth under our supervision. Here are some of the specific ways we seek to accomplish that goal: Organized, close supervision in all areas Quick notification of parents if issues arise Extensive state and FBI background checks for staff and volunteers in accordance with Pennsylvania laws Age-appropriate housing Close relationship with our local fire department in case of emergency Certified Horsemanship Association TM standards in equine safety note to pastors Here at Miracle Mountain Ranch, we are committed to serving and partnering with churches through a variety of different ways. We seek to equip the youth of your congregations with specialized training and service opportunities within our summer camp season. All of our Summer Staff and Teens-In-Training receive instruction prior to the arrival of our summer camp guests, as well as ongoing discipleship throughout their time of serving during the summer. The spiritual training they receive here includes child and youth evangelism, biblical worldview in light of current social issues, effective Body life, how to communicate their testimony, and much more! Some of the practical ministry training that Summer Staff and Teens-In-Training receive includes instruction on leading small group Bible studies, leading games, activities, and small group initiatives. We believe that the youth who serve at MMR gain skills and knowledge that will go beyond the borders of our summer camp program, and can be applied within the local church for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12). 3
