1 June 26 th -29 th Jerusalem Changers/Camp Calvary

2 Jerusalem Changers (Camp Calvary) June 26 th - 29 th Dear Youth Leader or Pastor, This year s youth camp is going to be called Jerusalem Changers. Camp will consist of construction and ministry projects, alongside a normal camp experience. We will be going to our Jerusalems to help minister to the people in our communities. It is somewhat based off of World Changers from LifeWay. My goal is to try to get in each church s Jerusalem that attends camp this year. This may include a construction or ministry site depending upon what the need is. We will work at our sites until early afternoon, then come back to camp, and proceed with youth activities and worship. There will be a worship band and speaker with us for the week. This packet includes all of the information about this new endeavor. I will also need some volunteers for camp. If you feel called to help, please contact me. I know this is different than what has been done before, but God has been in the middle of this vision from the beginning. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. In Christ, Jim Posey FBC Mtn. Grove Youth Pastor jposey@mgfbc.com (417)

7 Dress Code/Our Christian Witness Please remember that this is a mission experience. Camp Participants are on mission at all times: at ministry sites and at the camp. We are being closely watched. How we dress is an important part of our witness. Participants should make a special effort to wear clothes that are modest and appropriate for the work to which we have been called. DRESS CODE Sleeved shirts are to be worn by all participants at all times (no spaghetti straps or shirts that show midriffs-- this includes dresses) on the work sites, and at camp. If the sleeves are torn off of the shirt, it no longer meets the dress code. Long pants must be worn at the construction work sites. Pants made of heavy cloth, like denim, are preferred. Shorts should be modest in length, such as at least finger tip length. No short shorts. Shorts are permitted on mission projects. Participants are to be fully dressed in accordance with this code anytime they are out of their assigned room at camp. Shorts or long pants and a sleeved shirt are required in hallways, in worship, and at meals. Durable shoes with closed toes must be worn at all ministry sites. Sandals are not acceptable. Shoes or boots with heavy soles are recommended for construction projects. Yoga pants, tights, and leggings are not acceptable pants. They may not be worn outside your assigned dorm unless layered underneath a modest- length dress or skirt. Students need to wear a t-shirt over a two-piece swimsuit. One piece swim suits are ok. Always wear shoes outside of rooms. ENFORCEMENT OF THE DRESS CODE Group leaders are asked to review the dress code with participants before leaving for the project. A pre-camp meeting is an excellent time to review the code. Please be certain everyone in your group, including youth and adult participants, understand what is required and what is prohibited. Group Leaders will be asked to enforce the dress code among participants in their church groups during the project.

8 If necessary, camp staff will take appropriate action with the individual group leader to ensure that all participants follow the dress code. Violation of the dress code at ministry sites may result in participants being transported back to the lodging facility. Participants will not be allowed to work if not dressed accordingly.
