5 SUMMER YOUTH CAMP POLICIES-2018 Over the years we have encountered many different experiences, questions, and even some problems while at camp. The following items are stated in an effort to help you better understand our policies and your responsibilities at camp: 1. Camp will officially begin when you leave the church for camp location. 2. The primary purpose of all adult workers is to assist the camp director in leading the campers in spiritual, social, and physical growth. Therefore, all workers must maintain a proper Christian attitude and conduct while at camp. 3. Other adult workers' policies include these: A. All workers will be assigned as team leaders or helpers on the first day of camp. B. No workers may change teams or alter the program without Director's permission. C. Any worker planning to be away from camp should notify the Director of plans before he or she is assigned to a job. D. All workers must stay with their teams during all team activities. E. All workers will attend all Bible studies and all camp meetings unless cleared with the Director. F. All workers will work their assigned duties unless permission to substitute is given. 4. It is GREATLY ENCOURAGING to have the campers receive mail from friends and relatives. Therefore, we suggest that you write letters to your camping teen before camp and mail them so the teens can receive them while at camp. Mail all letters to: (Name of camper) EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBER c/o Fort Faith Camp (231) th Avenue Morley, MI There will be no tobacco of any form tolerated by adults or teens. 6. There will be no non-prescription drugs of any form tolerated by adults or teens. *All medications must be turned in to camp nurse and the nurse will dispense all medicines/first aid. 7. There will be no P.D.A. (Physical Display of Affection) of any kind by any workers or teens. 8. All workers will use either the KJV, ESV or N.I.V. version of the Bible for all memory work so as to insure unity among the campers in studying the Word of God. 9. Our Dress Code for camp is as follows: A. Campers MUST wear long pants, jeans or basketball shorts and crew cut T-shirts with sleeves in the evening worship services. Bare feet will not be tolerated. This helps set a worship atmosphere for the evening. B. No slogan shirts of the vulgar or suggestive style will be tolerated. C. Sports outfits for boys and girls will be allowed during all activities other than worship services. D. No short-shorts, 2-pc. bikinis, halter tops, or yoga pants will be allowed by anyone. Crew cut T-shirts will be worn for the entire week other than beach time. E. Any shorts that are in question or not in good taste will not be allowed. If you can place your arm to your side and your fingertips are below your shorts, then your shorts are too short. F. Any swimming suit that is felt to be un-christian in appearance will not be allowed. Final judgment will come from the Director. No two-piece swimsuits unless a DARK t-shirt is worn over it. G. Boys will wear shirts at all times when in public except for swim-time. NO BARE MIDRIFFS WILL BE TOLERATED BY BOYS OR GIRLS! H. NO SPAGHETTI STRAPS, V-NECKS OR BELLY SHIRTS WILL BE ALLOWED! BOYS AND GIRLS ARE TO WEAR CREW CUT T-SHIRTS WITH SLEEVES! 10. Sweet Shop cards are issued and will show the camper's total money that is turned in at camp. There will be two Sweet Shops per day. Money spent will be marked on the camper's card and leftover money will be refunded the last day of camp. 11. Total cooperation is expected from adults and teens alike. The Camp Director reserves the right to send home any camper that consistently reacts in a negative fashion to policy.
