Dear Parents, Hello. I would like to first thank you for your interest in Kodiak Baptist Mission, and the programs we offer. Without you and your children our programs would not exist will mark my sixth summer with KBM. During these past five years I have served in many different capacities, and it is my honor to step into the position of Summer Camp Director this year. I definitely have huge shoes to fill, but have a fantastic team to work with. With a change in leadership you always find a change in how things are done. That being said Summer Camp will look a bit different than in the past. We feel these will be changes for the positive, and will still offer a summer camp experience your child will talk about all year long. With more time devoted to Bible exploration, expect to see your child grow in spirituality and confidence. You will also notice a difference in our registration options, so pleases look them over carefully. I look forward to working with your family and hope to see you all at one or all of or Summer Family Events. Sincerely, Josh Bell Summer Camp/Outdoor Programs Director Here are a few quick and easy tips to help prepare you and your child for Summer Day Camp. - If this is your child's first time coming to camp take a little time to sit down and go over the daily schedule attached in this packet. Let them know they will have great summer counselors that are always there to help and talk. -Please send your child prepared for camp. Check out the "What to Bring To Camp" section for a list of daily items. - Before your child can attend camp all the required paperwork must be turned in as well as camp payment made -Please keep your eyes open for s from our team or sign up to receive reminder texts
How to hold your camper s spot at Summer Day Camp. Reserve your campers spot at camp by paying for the week of camp they want to attend. Spots will be filled only when a payment is made. Register in advance to receive a reminder call the Monday or Tuesday prior to the week of camp you re camper is registered for. Have you pre-paid for a camp and can t attend? Reimbursements will be made in full up to the Wednesday, at 5:30pm before the week of camp your camper is registered for. There will be no reimbursement after that day. Summer Day Camp Rates Full Day $200 (per week) Speciality Half Day $100 (per week) Speciality AM Camps run from 9:30am-12:30pm Speciality PM Camps run from 1:30pm - 4:30pm Students enrolled in full day camps may add a half day speciality camp for $50. For Families Enrolling More Than One Camper? There is an additional $20 per night for overnight camps (for kids entering 3rd though 12 years) $200 for 1st Camper $175 for 2nd Camper $150 for any additional Campers Why the Price Increase? We are excited to have an experienced, highly qualified staff committed to providing a safe environment where kids feel free to learn and explore. This also requires a higher teacher to student ratio We are excited to offer uniquely better summer camps for your child. Horse back riding, rock climbing, archery, kayaking, private forests, and limitless field trip opportunities are among some of the things your child will do each week.
If Your Child is Absent, Arriving Late, Or Being Picked-Up Early It is extremely important that you notify the camp office so we can make the necessary arrangements. The number to call is Remember! Your child will NOT be released to anyone other than who is on your authorized pick up list. You are welcome to add people anytime, just let the person at the sign in and out table know. CHILD DROP OFF & PICKUP To Help You Plan Ahead DROP OFF TIME 7:30AM- 9:30AM OR 12:30PM-1:30PM(SPECILITY CAMP ONLY) To help you plan for your camper's day we will post each week's schedule on our Facebook page & them to those who provide an address the Monday before the next week of camp. We will make every effort to follow the published schedule but at times your camper's schedule may change unexpectedly. PICK UP TIME 12:30-1:30 (FOR SPECIALITY CAMP) OR 4:00-5:30 Text & We encourage caregivers to sign up for text and notifications. This will alert you of any special events coming up and schedule modifications. We will send a double reminder home for days that require extra supplies like swimming and biking.

What Will My Camper Be Doing Each Week At Camp? Campers will have the chance to participate in a wide variety of activities. Here are some of the great activities in store for Summer of Horsemanship, Gymnastics, Team Sports, Golf, Chuckwagon Cooking, Tidepooling, Archery, Heritage Farms, Berry Picking, Nature, Art, Science, Music, Swimming, Fishing, Biking, Rock Wall Climbing and MORE! A Typical "On Campus" Day 7:30-8:30 AM: Early Drop Off Activities (Included in Week's Tuition) 8:30-9:30AM: Morning Projects & Welcome 9:30-10:00AM: Chapel 10:00AM-12:30PM: Morning Activities 12:30-1:30PM Lunch & Rest 1:30-3:00PM Afternoon Activities 3:00-4:00PM Camper/Counselor Challenge 4:00-5:30 Afternoon Activities & Late Pick-Up (Included in Week's Tuition) What's The All Day Off Campus Option? 7 Speciality Camps Instructions: Circle the speciality camp you want to enroll your camper in. Certain weeks have half day camp options. Circle any half day specialty camps you'd like your camper to attend. If you want your child to attend all day camp in addition to a speciality camp X the All Day Camp box and circle the speciality camp. If you want your child's spot to be held the camp must be paid for. Otherwise a reminder call will be made the Monday or Tuesday prior to the week of camp you have registered your camper for. Once a payment is made, your spot will be reserved. There is limited space available for all camps. Entering 1st&2nd Grade Entering 3rd-5th Grade Where are all the Camp Options? Wondering where all the camps are your kids have come to love each summer. Don t worry they are all still there. Throughout the course of a week your camper will have the opportunity to do a variety of different activities. We have found that a good variety of projects and activities with plenty of choices makes for happier campers and staff. A tentative camp schedule will be sent out the week before to give parents and campers an idea of what to expect. For example if biking is an option for the week we want to give you plenty of time to air up those tires and make sure helmets fit. There will be more than one activity option each week so if your child is not interested in gymnastics or horseback riding they will not have to do that activity. Schedules will be flexible to take advantage of good weather days and camper s interests.

Adventure Camps Entering 6th Grade and Up Kayaking - Overnight Adventure - June Kayaking - Overnight Adventure - July 9-12 Join Mr. Jed for a week filled with adventure on the water. Mr. Jed is our resident kayak guide, and loves sharing his knowledge and experience with your kids. Campers will learn how to safely maneuver their boats on area lakes, then cap the week off with an overnight kayaking trip. This is always a very popular camp and space is limited, so reserve your spot today! Woody Island Horse Camp August (Overnight two nights) Our horse camp has become a camp favorite over the years, and we have seen many campers grow in their horsemanship skills. This year we are offering our more experienced riders the chance to develop further with a week long intensive held on Woody Island. The first two days campers will be taken to Woody in the morning and return that afternoon. On Wednesday they return to Woody to start their two night adventure where they see what goes into keeping a horse full time. Campers will also take to the trails for a pack camp away from basecamp. So saddle up your horses, we ve got a trail to blaze. This camp is for experienced riders who have been through a previous horse camp and have been evaluated for skill. Potential participants will receive an invitation from our staff.
