Market Street Washington C.H., Ohio (740) MAY NEWS Last updated 06/03/ TRAFFIC CRASH: Karon Sue Thompson of Greenfield, Ohio was traveling northbound near 3751 S R 41 South when Thompson failed to maintain control of her motor vehicle. Thompson traveled off of the east side of the roadway, striking the ditch. Thompson s vehicle continued on northbound striking a telephone junction box, utility pole, and another telephone junction box before coming to final rest. Thompson was transported by squad to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. THEFT: Ruth E. Burden of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported a known person had taken a set of car keys from her residence. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: An employee of Tanger Outlets reported two customers were involved in a verbal dispute outside the stores THEFT: Cynthia Fraley of Washington CH reported a known person removed property from her residence and attempted to sell it at local business. The victim refused prosecution. Contact was made with the suspect and he was arrested on a non-related warrant. MENACING: Mariah Frabott of Washington CH reports she has received threats from a known subject. Contact was made with the subject who was advised to cease all contact with Frabott. TRAFFIC CRASH: Melisa S. Aleshire of Washington CH, Ohio was stopped, facing northbound awaiting oncoming traffic and attempting to make a left hand turn into a driveway at 5967 S R 41 North. Aleshire was struck in the rear by a northbound vehicle, operated by Ronald K. Burkhard of Washington CH, Ohio. Both Burkhard and Aleshire were transported by squad to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Burkhard was cited for assured clear distance ahead ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS OF ABUSE INTO A CORRECTIONS FACILITY: Upon checking the restroom area in the booking area, deputies found a syringe containing an unknown liquid. Investigation is continuing. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Biddle Blvd in the Village of Bloomingburg on a domestic incident. All parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred.

2 TRAFFIC CRASH: Sharon Lester of Blanchester was traveling on the access road to US 22. Lester while making a left turn onto US 22 failed to yield causing Howard Arnold of Washington CH to strike Lester s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Lester was cited for Failure to Yield. THEFT: Bobbi Miley of Jeffersonville reports after a recent separation she arrived home and items were missing from inside. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Rebecca Vansickle of Bloomingburg reported while driving down the street a resident nearby yelled at her and made hand gestures at her. Contact was made with the suspect who was advised to cease all contact with Vansickle NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Woodsview Dr on reports of a neighbor dispute. All parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. MENACING: Brandon Stewart of Mt Sterling reported he was threatened during visitation at the Fayette County Jail. Stewart refused prosecution in the matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jill Peterson of Blacklick, Oh was traveling north on IR 71 when a tire of unknown vehicle deflated and removed from the rim striking Peterson s vehicle. Unknown vehicle departed the scene. No injuries were reported. Peterson s vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Mariah Jones, Jeffersonville reported that a 10 year old male juvenile spit on her. Contact was made with the juvenile and the juvenile s grandmother, who both denied that the incident occurred. Ms. Jones was referred to the Village Solicitor if she wished to pursue the matter any further. MENACING: Mariah Jones, Jeffersonville reported a known female made threats of physical harm towards her. Contact was made with the suspect who denied threatening Ms. Jones. Ms. Jones was referred to the Village Solicitor if she wished to pursue the matter any further. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Dorraine Downing, Jeffersonville reported a 10 year old male was causing a disturbance around her residence and became argumentative when she directed him to return to his residence. Contact was made with the juvenile s parents and all parties were directed to stay away from each other. THEFT: Billy Joe Wheat, Glasgow, Ky reported he was solicited into a game of chance, by several subjects and when he declined to play, the other subjects grabbed money from his hand and fled the area on foot. TRAFFIC CRASH: Pamela Wilt of Washington CH was traveling north on US 62 and lost control of her vehicle. Wilt traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a mailbox. No injuries were reported. Wilt was cited for Failure to Control. THEFT: Linda Hays of Washington CH, Ohio reported a known person had removed an item from her residence. The item was returned. Prosecution was declined TRAFFIC CRASH: Mark Orr, of Senecaville, Ohio reported he was south bound on US 62 near Barger Rd when a deer entered his lane of travel and was struck. Mr. Orr s vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. THEFT / TAKING THE IDENITY OF ANOTHER: David Purtee, Jeffersonville reported person(s) unknown made numerous unauthorized purchases on his debit card account over the past several days.

3 MENACING: The Manager of Buckeye Community Apartments, Washington CH reported that Allen Mincey, Washington CH verbally threatened to cause physical harm to her. Mr. Mincey was arrested on this charge and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER: While assisting the staff of the Ranch of Opportunity in attempting move some disruptive clients into another section of the facility, one of the female juvenile client attempted to flee the staff. A Sheriff s deputy prevented the juvenile from fleeing during which time the juvenile kicked the deputy. The 15 year old was transported to the juvenile detention center and charges were filed in Juvenile Court. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Scott Morris, Washington CH reported while he was assisting the management of the Buckeye Community Apartments with a letter, a known male became angry and a verbal argument ensued between them. All parties were referred to the City Solicitor if the wished to pursue the matter any further ARSON: Employees of the Ranch of Opportunity reported a fire had been set by a client in a restroom in the facility. Washington CH Fire Department responded to the incident, and determined it to be an arson incident. TRAFFIC OFFENSE / POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: During a Traffic Stop for a marked lanes violation the Deputies developed suspicion that there may be contraband in the vehicle operated by Dustin Wilson. The K-9 conducted a sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the vehicle. The subsequent search of the vehicle produced a quantity of marijuana. Mr. Wilson was cited for possession of marijuana and given a warning concerning the marked lane violation THEFT: Taylor Noble of Milledgeville, Ohio reported while at Chipotle in Jeffersonville, persons unknown removed her registration from her motor vehicle. FOUND PROPERTY: Steven Gray, Washington CH reports that while fishing on Parrott Station Rd. he located a safe submerged in the water. UNRULY: Employees of the Ranch of Opportunity reported three of the juvenile clients broke out a window and fled on foot. The juveniles were subsequently located in the area several hours later and returned to the facility. ANIMAL COMPLAINT: Christopher Steele, Bloomingburg reported a neighbor, Pablo Rodriguez, Bloomingburg, continues to allow his dog to wander into his lot. Mr. Rodriquez was contacted concerning the compliant. TRAFFIC CRASH: Twyla Bolen, Washington CH reported she was north bound on SR 41S when a deer entered her lane of travel and was struck. A second vehicle operated David Brown, of Greenfield was north bound and struck debris from the initial crash. The deer was located near the scene. Ms. Bolen s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Mr. Brown s vehicle sustained no damage and was driven from the scene TRAFFIC CRASH: Timirat Lemma, Kansas City, MO reported as he was backing his semitractor trailer rig into a parking space at the Travel Centers of America he struck another truck that

4 was parked in an adjacent parking space. The other vehicle that is owned by Crosby Trucking, Evansville, IN sustained minor damage. Mr. Lemma s vehicle did not sustain any damage. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Alex Spahr of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that he was receiving unwanted text messages from a known person. Spahr requested that the text messages to cease. DOG BITE: A report was made concerning a 6 year old who was bitten by a dog on Palmer Rd in Washington C.H., Ohio. ASSAULT: Zachary Landman of Washington C.H., Ohio reported he was assaulted at the Deer Creek Lake by an unknown male. LITTERING: Deputies received a complaint of littering on Fishback Rd. A mattress and cans of trash were located along the roadway. Investigation is continuing. FOUND PROPERTY: The Tanger Outlet called to report a purse had been located on a bench. The purse and contents were placed into property until the owner could be located. THEFT: Employees of Bass, Tanger Outlet Mall, Jeffersonville, reported two females entered the store and removed items from the shelf and departed the store without paying for the items. THEFT/B&E: Albert Mast of Holmesville, Ohio reported person(s) unknown entered a barn he owned on Washington-New Martinsburg Rd and removed items from inside. UNRULY JUVENILE: Employees of the Ranch of Opportunity reported female resident departed the facility without permission. The juvenile was later located in Licking County CASUALTY: A 4 year old male touched a recently welded part on a Derby car at the Fayette Co Fairground sustaining minor burns to his hand. The child was transported to the Fayette Co. Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment. PROPERTY DAMAGE: An employee of McDonald s restaurant On State Route 435 Jeffersonville, Ohio reported a semi attempted to enter the drive thru. The employee stopped the semi prior to entering. The driver of the semi then back up and drove across the curb into the landscaping of the restaurant. UNRULY: Employees of the Ranch of Opportunity reported that several female residents departed the property without permission. The juveniles were later located and returned to the facility. FOUND PROPERTY: A social security was located at the Tanger Mall in Jeffersonville, Ohio. The owner of the property was later located and the property was returned. TRAFFIC CRASH: Natasha Yeager of Columbus, Ohio was traveling southbound on State Route 41 near U.S 35 when debris was struck in the roadway causing damage to Yeager vehicle DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Melissa Wallin of Washington CH reported a known subject assaulted her. John Swayne of Jeffersonville was arrested and charged in the matter.

5 ATTEMPTED THEFT/ CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Christopher Callendar reported a known subject was observed by several juveniles attempting to remove items from a vehicle parked on the property. No items were reported being removed from the vehicle. Callendar was referred to the law director for possible charges. THEFT: Linda Melton of Washington CH reports person(s) unknown removed gasoline from an outside storage tank sometime between November and the date of the report. TRAFFIC CRASH/LEAVING THE SCENE OF ACCIDENT/OVI/FAIL TO CONTROL: Deputies were dispatched to a crash on State Route 734 near Prairie Rd. Upon deputies arrival it was determined that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on State Route 734, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and a utility pole. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene leaving the vehicle at the scene. Pearl Sutton of Bloomingburg, Ohio was later located and was found to be the driver of the vehicle. Sutton was later transported to Fayette Memorial for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. Sutton was cited for OVI, Failure to Control, and Leaving the Scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: David Overly of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling eastbound on Robinson Rd at the intersection of State Route 753. Jaspal Singh was traveling northbound on State Route 753 and failed to stop for a stop light striking Overly s vehicle. Overly s vehicle then was force across the roadway striking a vehicle traveling westbound on Robinson Rd driven by Danny Turner of Bethel, Ohio. No injuries were reported. All vehicle sustained minor damage THEFT: Employees of Tommy Hilfiger Men s Outlet, Tanger Mall reported a male suspect departed the store with merchandize without paying for the items. The area was checked and the suspect was not located. BURGLARY/ THEFT: Danielle Trende of Washington CH person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed property from inside. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Rachel Vance of Jeffersonville reports known subject had made threats of physical towards her. Matthew Vance was arrested and charged in the matter. THEFT: Marvin Curtis of Mt Sterling reports person(s) unknown removed medication from his residence. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Delaware St on reports of domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Woodsview Sq on a neighbor dispute. All parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. FOUND PROPERTY: Person(s) unknown located a debit card in the city of Washington CH and turned it into the Sheriff s office. Contact was attempted with the owner but was unsuccessful. The debit card was placed in property for safekeeping.

6 CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Mandy Dozier of Good Hope reported a known subject returned to her property after receiving a criminal trespass order. Derek Honacher of Washington CH was arrested on the property charged with Criminal trespassing. OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS: On March 18 th, 2015, deputies had contact with a female subject in a domestic violence incident. At that time the female provided a name and personal information later found to be false. Denise Reed was subsequently charged and arrested in the incident. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Tasha Harris, Washington CH reported the driver side window of her vehicle was broken out while parked on the lot of the Tanger Mall. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Mandy Dozier, of Good Hope reported her son Derek Honacher, of Washington CH arrived at her residence and refused to leave. Mr. Honacher was arrested in the incident. MENACING: Jay Johnson, of Mt. Sterling reported he received information that a known subject made threats to burglarize his home. TRAFFIC CRASH: David Wilbanks, of Jeffersonville reported he was north bound on Factory Shops Blvd, when David Rousseau turned onto the roadway from the KFC parking lot and struck his vehicle. Minor damage was sustained to both vehicles. TRAFFIC CRASH: Anthony Cassada, of Cincinnati reported he parked his company s semi-truck on the truck parking lot at McDonalds, Allen Rd. While in the business the truck parked next to him departed striking the front of his truck with the trailer. The other truck departed the scene. Minor damage was sustained to the front of Mr. Cassada s vehicle. TRAFFIC CRASH: Thomas Shull, of Bloomingburg was parked on the lot of Bloomingburg Spring and Wire, when he inadvertently stepped on the gas and struck the building.. Minor damage was sustained to both the vehicle and building. CRUELTY TO ANIMALS: Mike Dolinskas of Jeffersonville reported his neighbor shot their pet cat after it entered onto the neighbor s property. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Danielle Trende of Washington CH reports known subject had threatened her with physical harm. A warrant was issued and Matthew Alltop was arrested in the incident. ASSAULT: Sandy Bruce of Washington CH reported she was assaulted by a known female subject. Bruce refused prosecution in the matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Mike Hester of Washington CH backing from a driveway on Meadow Drive and struck a parked vehicle owned by Apiradee Eby. No injuries were reported. Both vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. TRAFFIC CRASH: Nathan Noble of Washington CH was traveling south on Inskeep Rd and lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve. Noble traveled off the left side of the roadway into a field. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash. Noble was cited for Failure to Control.

7 TRAFFIC CRASH: James Valentine of Washington C.H. Ohio was backing from a private drive on Hickory Lane. Valentine failed to observe another vehicle traveling on Hickory Lane operated by William Warner of Washington C.H., Ohio. Valentine backed into the path of Warner s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicle sustained minor damage. CRIMINAL TRESPASSING/THEFT: Deputies were checking a suspicious vehicle in the 4000 Block of Ghormley Rd. The occupants were loading wire into the truck of their vehicle. The property owner, Kyle Hoppes of Washington C.H., Ohio was contacted and requested the occupants of the vehicle be removed from the property. ASSAULT: Sandy Bruce of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that she was assaulted by a known female. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Phillip Daniels, of Washington CH reported his mailbox was damaged overnight by person(s) unknown. TRAFFIC CRASH: Chester Stonebreaker, Ephrata, PA reported while his semi-tractor trailer was parked and unoccupied on the lot of the Travel Center of America, another semi struck the front of his truck as it was pulling out of a parking space. The other vehicle departed without making contact with Mr. Stonebreaker. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Jennifer Howell, of Jeffersonville reported a known subject was playing loud drum music causing disturbance in the neighborhood. The suspect was contacted and advised of the complaint and warned if the loud noise continued it could result in charges. THEFT: Employees of Children s Place Outlet, Tanger Mall reported three females removed merchandise from the store without paying for the items. This was recorded on the store surveillance system. The three suspects, Amanda Booker, Tyisha Youngblood, and Brandi Darthard, all of Columbus, Ohio were located in another business at the mall and were subsequently arrested. THEFT: Employees of Children s Place Outlet, Tanger Mall reported 2 male and 2 female subjects removed merchandise from the store without paying for the items. The suspects were not located. UNRULY JUVENILE: The office responded to a reported unruly 14 year old male. The child was counseled concerning his behavior and the mother declined charges at this time. TRAFFICKING IN DRUGS / CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Employees of Buckeye Community Apartments reported observing what they believed to be a drug transaction in their parking lot. The subjects departed prior to the deputy s arrival. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Kathy Payne, of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown caused damage to her mail box BREAKING & ENTERING, THEFT: Cori Moore of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported sometime within the past three weeks persons unknown trespassed on her residential property, removing a license plate from her motor vehicle.

8 DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Dustin C. Arnett of Milledgeville, Ohio was arrested after making threats of harm to himself. THEFT, GAMBLING: Kathy J. Warsitz of Cassadoga, New York reported while engaging in a game a chance at the Northbound Rest Area of I-71 persons unknown removed $4, from her hand, and fled the area. INTERFERENCE WITH CHILD CUSTODY: John D. Mongold of Washington CH, Ohio reported he was awarded custody of his child, and a known subject refused to let the child leave. BURGLARY, THEFT: Chrystal Rasberry of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported sometime during the day persons unknown entered her residence, removing several items. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jonathon Penn of Bainbridge, Ohio was traveling southbound on State Route 41 near the Route 35 overpass when a dog entered the roadway and was struck. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage TRAFFIC CRASH: Charles C. Cordy of Wilmington, Ohio was traveling southbound near 1812 S R 734 when Cordy failed to negotiate a left hand curve. Cordy traveled off of the west side of the roadway striking a mail box, and large tractor tire. The vehicle suffered moderate damage. No injuries were reported. Cordy was cited for failure to control, and failure to wear seat belt. TRAFFIC CRASH: Earl Leonard of Marengo, Ohio was pulling into a parking space at the southbound rest area off of I-71. Leonard made an improper right turn striking a parked motor vehicle owned by Lisa M. Young of Cincinnati, Ohio. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY THREATS: Mariah C. Jones of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported she was verbally threatened by a family member. TRAFFIC CRASH: Charles C. TRAFFIC CRASH: Joseph Steele of Jeffersonville, Ohio was traveling westbound on Bloomingburg-New Holland Rd and stopped for a stop sign at the intersection of State Route 41. Jeremy Rogers of Washington C.H., Ohio was also traveling westbound behind Steele s vehicle. Rogers failed to stop and struck the rear of Steele s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Rogers was cited for ACDA.

9 TRAFFIC CRASH: James Majewski of Strogsville, Ohio was traveling northbound on Interstate 71 and began to exit onto off ramp onto State Route 435. Majewski lost control on the exit ramp and struck a guardrail. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. Majewski was cited for Failure to Control. DOMESTIC DISUTE: Deputies were dispatched to Joanne Dr. in Washington C.H., Ohio on a domestic incident. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. FOUND PROPRTY: Deputies located a handgun and the holster in the roadway on State Street Jeffersonville, Ohio TRAFFIC CRASH: Blake Slate, of Jamestown reported while his vehicle was parked on the lot at Tanger Mall an unknown vehicle backed into is vehicle and departed without making contact with the Mr. Slate. Minor damage was sustained to Mr. Slate s vehicle. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, PEDESTRIAN CRASH: Amber D. Helsel of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported she was involved in domestic incident with a known male. During the incident the female attempted to leave the residence, while the male struck the female s vehicle. Upon backing from their driveway Helsel reported she struck the male with the vehicle causing injury to his leg. The male was transported by Medflight to Grant Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. ASSAULT ON PEACE OFFICER/HARASSMENT BY INMATE: An inmate of the Fayette County Jail assaulted a corrections officer while being held in jail. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: John Barnett of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported person(s) unknown damaged his motor vehicle while it was parked at the Village Pump. THEFT: Rachel D. Jackson of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported sometime overnight persons unknown removed the front license plate from her motor vehicle. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Timothy J. Moorman of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported a known person left an unwanted note on his motor vehicle. PHYSICAL CONTROL, OPEN CONTAINER, OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS: A sheriff s deputy was requested at the BP station in Jeffersonville, Ohio on a reported drunk driver. The deputy located the vehicle on the lot finding the operator inside. While investigating the complaint it was discovered the operator of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol, and possessed an open container of liquor. The operator refused to exit the vehicle at the direction of the deputy, at which time the deputy assisted the operator from the vehicle, placing her under arrest. Stacie A. Askins of Delaware, Ohio was charged. TRAFFIC CRASH: Matthew Dyer of South Salem, Ohio was traveling northbound near S R 41 South when Dyer struck a deer in the roadway resulting in a motor vehicle crash. The vehicle suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported BURGLARY/THEFT: Ardene L. Baumann of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported sometime within the past four days persons unknown forced entry to her residence removing a flat screen TV.

10 THEFT: Brandon S. Warner of Washington CH, Ohio reported a known person had removed an item from his residence. TRAFFIC CRASH: Zane C. Cooper of Cincinnati, Ohio was traveling northbound near 5401 Inskeep Rd. when Cooper failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle while negotiating a right hand curve. Cooper traveled off of the northwest side of the roadway, through the ditch, striking a utility pole owned by DP&L. The vehicle suffered moderate damage. No injuries were reported. Cooper was cited for failure to control PASSING BAD CHECKS: Lance Roberts of Washington CH, Ohio reported a bad check was passed to him for products purchased by a known person. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE, CANINE AT LARGE: Christopher Steele of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported he was involved in a verbal dispute with his neighbor over their canine running at large. The neighbor was counseled. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a complaint in the township of Jefferson. Reports indicate that a customer became involved in a verbal altercation with a clerk at a local business and refused to leave the premise. Deputies made contact with the male subject, who then departed without incident, no charges were filed. BURGLARY / THEFT: Bradley Curnutte of Washington CH, advised that person(s) unknown forced entry into his residence and removed various items. THEFT: Employees of Children s Place Outlet, Tanger Mall reported a customer was observed carrying items around the store. The customer later left the store without paying for the items and the items were not located in the store. ASSAULT: Clarence Sutton, of Washington CH reported he heard his dog barking in the front yard at a contractor for Time Warner Cable. DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY FIGHTING / UNRULY JUVENILE: Employees of the Ranch of Opportunity reported that several female juvenile clients were involved in a series of fights resulting in minor injuries to one of the juveniles. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Roger LeBeau, of Mt. Sterling reported person(s) unknown drove several vehicles through a tilled, unplanted field.

11 WANTED PERSON: A Fayette County Grand Jury recently indicted a South Charleston, Ohio man on several charges stemming from crimes allegedly committed in the Jeffersonville, Ohio area. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, Robert E. Eli Williams, Age 30 of South Charleston, Ohio is currently incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail facing charges of Burglary, Felonious Assault, Attempted Burglary, Breaking & Entering, two counts of Theft, and Criminal Damaging stemming from the reported incidents. According to the report, a sheriff s deputy was dispatched to the Jefferson-Green Apartment Complex on Colonial Drive in Jeffersonville on April 19, 2015 to investigate a vehicle break-in. While investigating the incident, the deputy was approached by another area resident on Colonial Drive reporting that a male, identifying himself as maintenance personnel for the complex, had entered his residence and taken property, subsequently fleeing on foot. A description of the suspect was provided and deputies began checking the area for the subject. Approximately one and a half hours later, the Sheriff s Communication s Center received a report of a suspicious male reportedly wearing a ski mask in the area of Colonial Drive and Woodsview Court in Jeffersonville. The suspicious male was reportedly wearing clothing matching the description of the suspect from the earlier incident. Sheriff s deputy Adam Greenlee was checking the area when a male subject matching the suspect description, later identified as Robert E. Eli Williams, fled on foot into an apartment at 24 Colonial Drive. Deputy Greenlee gave chase, apprehending and detaining Mr. Williams as he continued to investigate. It was reported to Deputy Greenlee by a witness who stated that he observed Williams allegedly prying open the rear door of a home on Woodsview Court. When the witness confronted Williams, he allegedly attempted to strike the witness with a crow bar before fleeing on foot. As the investigation continued, Deputy Greenlee and Sgt. Todd Oesterle recovered property reported stolen in the earlier incidents. Williams remains incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail in lieu of bond pending his appearance before the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas TRAFFIC CRASH: Leroy L. Hawkins Jr. of Desoto, Texas was traveling northbound on S R 38 just north of I-71 when Hawkins reportedly got over onto the shoulder for a passing vehicle. The shoulder gave way causing the Hawkins vehicle to overturn onto its side. The vehicle suffered moderate damage. No injuries were reported. TELECOMMUNICATIONS FRAUD / THEFT: A Jeffersonville resident reported being contacted by telephone and told he had won a cash prize, but needed to send money via Western Union to pay the taxes on the prize. This situation was subsequently determined to be a fraudulent scam. THEFT: Cambrea Hodge of Lessburg, Ohio reported that person(s) unknown removed a pack of cigarettes out of her vehicle overnight. MISSING PERSON: Deputies were contacted by family members concerning a female who had not returned home. The female later returned on her own, without any incident. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident on Colonial Dr. in the Village of Jeffersonville, Ohio. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred BURGLARY/THEFT: Blake Rife of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that while he was away from his residence person(s) unknown had forced entry into his residence and removed property.

12 ASSAULT/DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS: Bethany Benson of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that she was assaulted by a known female. Drug abuse instrument was also located during the investigation. Eilizabeth Seitz was arrested in the incident. CONVEYANCE OF WEAPON ONTO SCHOOL GROUNDS: Miami Trace Schools reported that a 15 year old male brought a pocket knife to school. The school discipled the juvenile and juvenile probation was contacted TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert H. Morris of Georgetown, Ohio was traveling northbound on S R 729 South from the Clinton County line when Morris failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle. Morris traveled left of center, off of the west side of the roadway into ditch. Morris over corrected when re-entering the roadway, traveling back across the center line, off of the east side of the roadway, striking the ditch. Morris s vehicle began to overturn, rolling over across the north and southbound lanes. Morris refused medical treatment on the scene who sustained minor injuries from the motor vehicle. Morris was cited for OVI, and failure to control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Fakhriev Firdavs of Hallandale Beach, Florida was backing his tractor-trailer on the truck lot of Love s when Firdavs struck a parked tractor-trailer owned by Scott A. Butts of Jasper, Florida. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Margret Matthews of Jeffersonville, Ohio was backing from a parking space at the Family Dollar Store, Jeffersonville when Matthews struck a parked motor vehicle owned by Amber Self of Bloomingburg, Ohio. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. UNRULY JUVENILE: A 13 year old female was being counseled by her mother and became disrespectful and unruly, while they were in the car. The child continued to be verbally abusive and attempted to jump from the moving vehicle, which the mother was able to prevent. Upon arriving at the residence the child fled on foot. The child was located at a nearby residence and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies responded to a reported hit-skip crash on SR-238, where a vehicle that was west bound ran off the roadway and into a fence owned by Midland Acres. The vehicle was subsequently located and the driver was identified as Brian Robinson, Bloomingburg. Mr. Robinson was cited for failure to control and leaving the scene of an accident. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Jon Heidler of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that he received several unwanted texts from a known person. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Andre Johns of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported that sometime overnight person(s) unknown had thrown a brick through the window of his vehicle. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to Woodsview Dr in the Village of Jeffersonville on a domestic complaint. Upon the completion of their investigation it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. ASSIST IN THE JAIL: Sheriff s deputies responded to the Fayette County Jail on a combative inmate that just arrived at the jail. Deputies placed the inmate into the restraint chair to prevent the inmate from any self-injury.

13 TRAFFIC CRASH: Billy J. Glispie of Jeffersonville, Ohio was traveling eastbound near 2140 Madison Rd. when Glispie failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle. Glispie traveled left of center, off of the north side of the roadway, striking a mail box at 2140 Madison Rd. and a utility pole owned by Ohio Edison. Nick Glispie, also of Jeffersonville was a passenger of the vehicle, and sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash. Nick Glispie was transported by squad to Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Billy Glispie was cited for failure to control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Brian Skaggs of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling southbound in the 1000 block of State Route 38 when Skaggs attempted to turn into a private drive. Skaggs struck a gas meter as he entered the driveway. The vehicle sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Joseph Smalley of South Charleston, OH was traveling south on US 62. Smalley made a left turn onto S.R 753 striking a vehicle operated by Steven Higgins of Washington CH stopped at the traffic signal. No injuries were reported. THEFT: Kendra Temple of Washington CH, Ohio reported while working at the Tanger Outlet Mall persons unknown removed her wallet from her purse. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Brooke E. Merritt of Jeffersonville, Ohio was charged with Domestic Violence after assaulting her husband. Merritt was charged additionally for having drug paraphernalia in her possession at the time of the complaint. FOUND PROPERTY: A passport was located in Staunton. It was placed into property for safekeeping CIVIL DISPUTE: Deputies responded and assisted on a verbal dispute over child custody in Bloomingburg. THEFT: Roselee Ackerman of Washington CH, Ohio reported sometime within the past 30 days person(s) unknown removed her car keys from both of her motor vehicles.

POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS: Sheriff s deputies responded to Bogus Rd on a complaint. Upon arrival deputies located hypodermic needles. Tyler Yoakum of Washington CH was charged in the incident. MISUSE OF A CREDIT CARD: Virginia Frazier of Washington CH, Ohio reported within the past few weeks person(s) unknown made several unauthorized purchases. THEFT: David K. Self of Washington CH, Ohio reported sometime within the past 6 month s person(s) unknown removed items from his residence. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY/ATTEMPTED THEFT: An employee of Nike reported several suspicious persons entered the business attempting to remove merchandise. THEFT: An employee of Children s Place reported several unknown persons entered the business removing merchandise without payment HIT/SKIP CRASH: Teri L. Sholler of Cedarville, Ohio was parked on the lot of Love s Truck Stop in Jeffersonville when Sholler was exiting her vehicle, her driver s door was struck by an unknown male, operating a red Chevrolet Cobalt. The unknown male fled the area following crash. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Thomas Morello of Greenfield, Ohio was traveling southbound on US 62 near the intersection of Cook Yankeetown road when a deer ran into the roadway and into the path of Morello s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the crash; Morello s vehicle was driven from the crash scene. THEFT: Anthony Craig of Washington CH, reported a Trailer missing, but later found out that the Trailer had been borrowed by a known person without notifying him. The trailer was recovered and no charges were filed. THEFT: An employee of Children s Place at Tanger Outlet reported three unknown females removed various items from the business and departed without paying for the items. THEFT/ FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE: Sheriff s Deputies responded to Theft of Service complaint in Jefferson Township. Reports indicate Angela Harris ran out of gas and contacted a local towing company for assistance. The towing company then provided the gas to Harris who then refused to make payment. Dispatch then advised the Deputy, that Harris had an active warrant through Franklin County. Harris made restitution for the gas, but was subsequently arrested and taken into custody for the active warrant. AGGRAVATED MENACING: A complaint was received from a Sheriff s deputy while on patrol at the Miami Trace High School. The incident remains under investigation. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Amber Morris of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown damaged flower pots at her residence.

15 TRAFFIC CRASH: Tina Teague of South Solon was traveling North on S.R 41. Teague traveled left of center striking a vehicle traveling south operated by Dustin Tuttle of Springfield, Oh. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Teague was cited for Failure to Control DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Deputies responded to a reported Domestic Violence incident. Upon interviewing the complainant she claimed to have been physically assaulted by a known male who resides with her. During the investigation her statements changed several times and there were no physical signs of injury, therefore no charges were filed. The male departed. ANIMAL COMPLAINT: Roberta Anders of Jeffersonville reported the neighbor s dog continues to bark throughout the day and night. MISSING PERSON: The Miami Trace Elementary School reported a student had not attended school for two weeks. A Sheriff s deputy made contact with the father of the juvenile who confirmed the child had moved out of state with the mother. TELEPHONE HARRASSMENT: Julia Stoy of Washington CH reported a known subject attempted contact with her by phone and Facebook. MENACING: Richard Curtis of Milledgeville reported a known subject was posting things about him on Facebook and requested the incident be documented. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Cheryl Ford of Jeffersonville reported a known subject arrived at her residence to remove property. The subject was advised to depart the property and to return with a court order to remove property. TRAFFIC CRASH: Darius Bloom of Wilmington, Ohio was traveling north on I.R 71 and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. METH LAB: Several arrests were made Tuesday evening at a Fayette County home by members of the Fayette County Sheriff s Office following the discovery of a methamphetamine lab in the home. The investigation took place at a residence located at 721-B E. Temple Street in Washington Court House at 9:07 p.m. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, members of the Washington Court House Municipal Court Probation Department requested the assistance of deputies during a probation check at the residence. During a check of the residence, a one pot methamphetamine lab and several components used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were reportedly located inside the home. Neighboring residents were asked to leave their homes as a safety precaution and members of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Clandestine Unit were summoned to the scene, said Stanforth. Sheriff s detectives and agents from BCI&I removed the lab from the home and neutralized the material without incident. Several individuals inside the home upon the arrival of the probation officers were detained stemming from the incident. No charges relating to the reported methamphetamine lab have been filed yet and detectives and BCI&I agents are continuing their investigation, however, subjects at the home were subsequently arrested on charges ranging from violation of probation to obstructing official business and transported to the Fayette County Jail. MENACING BY STALKING: Martha Hawkins of Jeffersonville reports she believes known subject is stalking her by driving around the places in which Hawkins is located yelling obscenities. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A female resident of Bloomingburg reported receiving a text message from a known male subject concerning a child custody dispute. THEFT: Employees of Michael Kors Outlet Store, Tanger Mall reported a male subject removed several items from the business without paying for the items. UNRULY: A report was made on a 13 year old female who had been unruly both on the school bus and at home. The mother requested charges be filed TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a hit/skip accident that occurred at 94 Jamison road in the Township of Union. Reports indicate that a vehicle owned by Shane Lewis of Wilmington, Ohio was parked in front of a residence at 94 Jamison, when an unknown vehicle side swiped the left side of his vehicle causing minor damage to the mirror and then departed the area. TRAFFIC CRASH: Benjamin Butz of Sedalia, Ohio was backing from a parking space on the lot of Detty s Market when Butz struck another parked motor vehicle owned by, Johnny Bunyard of Jeffersonville, Ohio. The vehicles suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: A resident of Washington CH, Ohio reported he was involved in a verbal dispute with his neighbor. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Tara Knisley of Leesburg, Ohio reported she had located drug paraphernalia inside her recently acquired residence. The items were turned over to the Sheriff s Office. 17 THEFT: Employees of Tommy Hilfiger Outlet Store, Tanger Mall reported a female customer had taken a shirt from the business without paying for it. The suspect was subsequently located and identified as Myleen Calloway, of Kettering. Calloway was arrested for theft and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail TRAFFIC CRASH: The Fayette County Sheriff s Office is investigating a three-vehicle injury traffic crash that hospitalized two Fayette County residents. The crash, occurring on U.S. #22 East just west of S.R. #753 was reported on Sunday evening, May 3, 2015 at 6:40 p.m. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, a 2001 Dodge Ram operated by Scott Leisure, Age 40 of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling eastbound on U.S. #22SE and initiated a passing maneuver, colliding head-on with a westbound 2004 GMC Sierra operated by Robert J. Seymour, Age 62 of Washington C.H., Ohio. A 2013 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Matthew W. Bick, Age 29 of Washington C.H., Ohio was also traveling westbound on U.S. #22SE behind the Seymour vehicle and took evasive action to avoid collision with the other involved vehicles, traveling off the right side of the roadway, striking a ditch and coming to rest in an agricultural field. Following the collision, a fire started beneath the Leisure vehicle and was extinguished. Seymour was extricated from his vehicle by members of the Washington C.H. Fire Department. Bick and a passenger in his vehicle, identified as Ginny L. Bick, Age 39 of Washington C.H., Ohio were not injured in the crash. Leisure and Seymour both sustained serious injuries in the crash and were transported from the scene by Fayette County EMS to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. Both Leisure and Seymour were subsequently airlifted from FCMH to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio for further medical treatment. The Seymour and Leisure vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash and were towed from the scene. The Bick vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the crash scene. In addition to the Washington C.H. Fire Department and Fayette County EMS, assisting at the crash scene were members of the Sheriff s Crash Rescue Unit and the Washington C.H. Police Department. The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit. TRAFFIC CRASH: Tamara C. Westcamp of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling southbound on SR 38 near Airport Road when Westcamp struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: A resident of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported she was involved in a verbal dispute with her neighbor. TRAFFIC CRASH: Marissa Parsley of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling southbound on S R 41 North when Parsley failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead, striking a vehicle in the rear operated by Stephanie L. Henderson of Washington CH, Ohio. Henderson was attempting to turn into her driveway at the time of the crash. Henderson and her passenger, Richard L. Clark II were transported by squad to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Parsley was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
