Market Street Washington C.H., Ohio (740) MAY NEWS Last updated 05/24/ CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Christina Breedlove of Greenfield reported person(s) unknown caused damage to her mailbox NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Justin Stegall reported he became involved in a verbal argument with a neighbor of his children. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to a domestic incident on Spring Lake Ave. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of TRAFFIC CRASH: Daniel Pavlak of Bedford, KY was traveling south on IR 71. Pavlak lost control of his vehicle traveling into the middle lane of travel striking another vehicle. No injuries were reported. Pavlak was issued a citation for Failure to Control. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Rebecca Landrum of Jeffersonville reported being involved in an argument with a neighbor. Both parties involved advised no assault or threats of violence. DOMESTIC DISPTUE: Sheriff s deputies responded to US 62 on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Barrett Rd on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of TRAFFIC CRASH: Christopher Stanley of Washington CH was traveling north on US 62 and lost control of his vehicle. Stanley traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch striking a culvert. Stanley continued striking a phone box and wooden posts. No injuries were reported. 2 DISORDERLY CONDUCT/UNDERAGE CONSUMPTION: Sheriff s deputies were dispatched to J s Corner on a disturbance complaint. Brandon B. Hawk, and Anthony D. Spencer both of Chillicothe were charged in the offense. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Matthew Pollock of Jeffersonville reported person(s) unknown entered the garage on his property and removed several items TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert Jackson was traveling westbound on Barrett Rd when he lost control of his car. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway into a ditch where it rolled and came to a rest in a field. Jackson reported no injuries at the time of the crash and was cited for Failure to Control. THEFT: An employee of Tommy Hilfiger at Tanger Outlet reported a theft of clothing from the business. The incident is under investigation. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s deputies responded to a vehicle accident that occurred on IR 71North near the SR 41 Over pass in the township of Jefferson. Reports indicate that Julia Manring of Chardon, Ohio was traveling Northbound on IR 71 in the left lane when she lost control of her vehicle going in to the median then in to the south bound lane of travel before striking a guardrail. No injuries were reported, Manring was cited for failure to control HIT SKIP TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s deputies responded to traffic crash on the lot of the Flying J. Reports indicate a green minivan struck a vehicle while at the gas pumps then left the scene in a unknown direction. No injuries were reported. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s Deputies responded to domestic complaint. Reports indicate a verbal dispute between a male and female subject occurred with no assault or threats. The female departed the residence for the evening. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to US 22 on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of UNRULY: A 17 year old male was reported to be unruly by the guardian. MENACING: Hollie Baxter of Jeffersonville reported she was verbally threatened by a known person. Baxter was referred to the Village Solicitor. SOLICITING: A complaint was made reporting a known person who had solicited sexual favors for other services DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Nicole M. Bowen of Chillicothe reported she was involved in verbal dispute with her spouse while they were at the TA. DOMESTIC DISPUTE/CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Sheriff s deputies responded to a domestic complaint. Reports indicate a verbal dispute between a male and female occurred with no assault or threats. The male subject was advised not to return back on to the lot of Stage or trespassing charges would be filed.
3 TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert Painter Barboursville, VA was traveling Westbound on US RTE 35 near the SR 753 when a deer ran out in front of Painter s vehicle. No injuries were reported in the crash. TRAFFIC CRASH: A two-car motor vehicle crash was reported on S R 41 North at the Flying J. Ivan Hrynkiv of River Grove, Illinois was cited for Left of Center. THEFT: Tommy Hilfiger reported a female entered the business and obtained merchandise and departed without making payment. TRAFFIC CRASH: Katrina Hallman of New Holland was traveling east on Robinson Rd. Hallman entered the intersection of Robinson Rd and Bogus Rd making a slight right onto Bogus Rd. Hallman made an immediate left back into the intersection causing a crash with a vehicle operated by Joyce Messer of Clarksburg, Oh traveling east on Robinson behind Hallman. Messer and the occupants of her vehicle were transported to a medical facility for treatment. Hallman was issued a citation for Improper Turn. UNAUTHORIZED USE OF MOTOR VEHICLE/THEFT: Harold Smith of New Holland, Ohio reported aknown subject took his vehicle and cell phone without his permission. Smith declined charges FIRE: Sheriff s deputies responded to a vehicle fire owned by Perez Remodeling Services. No injuries reported CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jessica Fryer of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown cut the lock off her storage unit. CIVIL: Sheriff s deputies responded to N Main St in Jeffersonville for a dispute concerning the enforcement of a recent Village ordinance that prohibits living in a travel trailer in the village. DOMESCTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Biddle Bl on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of THEFT: Tommy Hilfiger reported person(s) unknown entered the business and departed with merchandise without making payment. ASSAULT: Alah Blevins of Bloomingburg reported being assaulted by a known male subject. Blevins was referred to the solicitor for possible criminal charges. THEFT: Sunglass Hut reported person(s) unknown entered the business and departed with merchandise without making payment. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Courtney Sizemore of Milledgeville reported being assaulted by known family member. Ty Brannon of Washington CH was arrested and charged in the matter. THEFT: Guarang Patel of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported a known female stole money from is business.
4 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Sheriff s deputies responded to a domestic complaint. Reports indicate that Amber Cooper was assaulted by Tina Cooper. Tina Copper was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Lyndsie Harris of Jeffersonville reported receiving threats from a family member. Shawn Harris was arrested on a warrant and transported to the Fayette County Jail. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A verbal dispute was reported between two family members. No threats or violence was alleged. GAMBLING: Sheriff s deputies responded to Flying J on reports of possible gambling. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Lindsey Leisure of Jeffersonville reports while in a verbal argument with a family member she was assaulted. Ryan McLure of Jeffersonville was arrested and charged in the matter SUSPICIOUS PERSON/WANTED PERSON/POSSESSION OF DRUGS: Sheriff s deputies responded to the IR 71 southbound rest area on a complaint of a suspicious person. Reports indicate that once deputies made contact with Bradford Howard Bloomingburg, Ohio he had an outstanding warrant and was taken in to custody. Once deputies arrived at the rear of the Fayette County Jail, Howard advised deputies he had pills in his socks. Howard was charged with possession of dangerous drugs. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A sheriff s deputy on patrol located an abandoned vehicle on U S Rte 35 West near Bush Rd. While checking the vehicle the deputy discovered the vehicle had been damaged. The vehicle was towed for safe keeping until the owner can be reached. FIRE: Sheriff s deputies and Jefferson Township responded to Wentz Rd on a fire. Incident was documented. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Old SR 38 on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of TRAFFIC CRASH: Kelly Suttles of Washington Ch was traveling south on Sr 38 and lost control of her vehicle. Suttles traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a railroad crossing signal and power box. No injuries were reported. Suttles was issued a citation for Failure to Control THEFT/FORGERY: Loves Struck Stop reported receiving a fake 100 dollar bill. TRAFFIC CRASH: Liam Souders of Greenfield, Oh was traveling north on Greenfield Sabina Rd. Souders proceed to make a left turn onto York Rd failing to yield for a vehicle traveling south on Greenfield Sabina Rd causing a crash. No injuries were reported. Souders was issued a citation for Failure to Yield.
5 THEFT: An employee of BP Gas in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported an unknown male removed an item from the business and departed without paying for the item. DRUG ABUSE: Sheriff s Deputies responded with EMS to the area Jane St. in Jeffersonville, Ohio on an unresponsive male. Narcan was administered and the male was transported by EMS to a nearby medical facility. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a Domestic complaint in Jefferson Township. Reports indicate a verbal dispute between a male and female subject occurred with no assault or threats. The male departed residence prior to Deputies arrival. DRUB ABUSE: Sheriff s deputies responded to a reported overdose. Reports indicate that a female was found unresponsive and sheriff s deputies had to use narcan. The victim was transported to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital ER for treatment. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s deputies responded to a vehicle accident that occurred on IR 71North near the 66 mile post in the township of Jefferson. Reports indicate that Seth Polzer of Dayton, Ohio was traveling Northbound on IR 71 in the middle lane when he decided to make a U-turn in the median. Polzer vehicle then struck Edward Holmes Hixson, TN who was traveling Northbound on IR 71 in the left lane. No injuries were reported. Polzer was cited for failure to obey traffic control device BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Shirley Buckler of Mount Sterling, Oh reports person(s) unknown entered her garage and removed property. THEFT: David Betty of Sabina, Ohio reported a known female stole money from him while at his residence. No charges requested. Caller only wants restitution at this time. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to a domestic complaint within Union Township. Reports indicate a verbal dispute between a male and female subject occurred with no assault or threats. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s deputies responded to vehicle crash that occurred SR 734 near 5205 SR 734 within Jefferson township. Reports indicate that Zachary Portor of Chillicothe, Ohio lost control of his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole and a tree. No injuries were reported. Porter was issued a citation for failure to control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s deputies responded to vehicle crash that occurred on the lot of Forward Air with in Jefferson township. Reports indicate that Stephan Joseph of Jeffersonville, Ohio backed out of his parking space and hit another vehicle unoccupied owned by Glenda Ewing, Washington C.H., Ohio. No injuries were reported. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Reports indicate that a resident of Bloomingburg, Ohio has been receiving harassing telephone calls from a known subject. The victim stated she wants the subject to leave her alone and to stop contacting her. Deputy attempted contact with the known subject, but contact was unsuccessful at the time of this report. MENACING: Wendy Alltop of Bloomingburg reported a known juvenile made threats to both of her children. Deputies made contact with the suspect advising to cease all contact.
6 BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Shirley Buckley of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered her garage and removed a key from a lawn mower. UNRULY: Sheriff s deputies responded to Harmony Rd on an Unruly juvenile complaint. Deputies counseled the juvenile on his behavior. DRUG ABUSE: Sheriff s Deputies responded with EMS to the area of State Route 41 North on a unresponsive male. Narcan was administered and the male was transported by EMS to a nearby medical facility. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Sheriff s deputies responded to a complaint of an older style GMC pickup that pulled into a driveway at a high rate of speed then departed through the yard. No damage was reported and the suspect is unknown. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident on IR 71 south near the 72 mile post. Donavin Baumgarther of Lebanon, Ohio was southbound on IR 71 when he attempted to change lanes striking another vehicle operated by Sherry Stischok of Columbus, Ohio. No injuries was reported. Baumgarther was cited for failure to stay in marked lanes. BURGLARY/THEFT: Floyd Hamilton of Greenfield, Ohio reported person(s) unknown forced entry into his residence and removed various items THEFT: Michael Kors of Tanger Outlets reported person(s) unknown entered the business and departed with merchandise without making payment. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Anglers Club of Washington CH reported subjects unknown were fishing on the property without permission. Deputies made contact with the subjects and they were advised to depart DRUG TRAFFICKING: Sheriff s detectives, the Washington Court House Police Department, and agents from the US 23 Major Crimes Task Force arrested a Fayette County man on drugrelated charges stemming from a joint investigation into alleged drug trafficking. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, the suspect, identified as Joshua Hudson, Age 27 of Washington Court House was arrested following a drug transaction. Upon arrest, Hudson was reportedly found to be in possession of additional substance presumptively identified as heroin. Subsequent to his arrest, a search warrant was obtained and executed at the Hudson residence on Peabody Avenue in Washington Court House. During the search of the home, items of drug paraphernalia and firearms were seized from the home. An adult female, an elementary age child and an infant were present in the home during the search warrant execution. The vehicle Hudson was operating at the time of his arrest was seized by detectives and secured where a search warrant was obtained and executing, leading the discovery of additional drugs and paraphernalia items inside the vehicle. Hudson is incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail, charged with Trafficking in Drugs, a fourth degree felony and Weapons under Disability, a third degree felony. The case will be present to Fayette County Prosecutor Jess Weade for review and the consideration of additional charges in the matter. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Patrick Haydell of Lake Charles, Louisiana reported she was involved in a verbal dispute with a family member while at the T/A.
7 THEFT: William King of Gnadenhutten Oh reported unknown person(s) removed property from his vehicle while it was parked at the Baymont Inn. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Pamela Royer of Washington Ch. reported her vehicle damaged by a known person. Investigation pending. BURGLARY/THEFT: Christina N. Payne of Bloomingburg reported persons unknown entered her residence, removing several items TRAFFIC CRASH: Dalton Caton of Greenfield was traveling west bound on the US 35 Bypass traveling on the exit ramp to State Route 753. Caton failed to observe Norma Massie of Bloomingburg stopped at the stop sign to State Route 753. Caton was cited for assured clear distance ahead. Occupants were treated at the scene by Fayette County EMS for minor injuries CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Robert Bumen of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown caused damage to the windshield on his boat. BREAKING & ENTERING: Employees of Summer Tree Apartments on N Main St in Jeffersonville reported unknown person(s) forcing entry into an apartment. Investigation pending. TRAFFIC CRASH: William Knisley of Greenfield was traveling south bound on Armbrust Rd when he traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole. Knisley was cited for failure to control. No injuries were reported CRIMINAL TRESPASS / DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY INTOXICATION: Deputies responded to a report of a, highly, intoxicated female at Buckeye Community Apartments. Upon arriving witness s stated that Annette Burris had been on the property and was only partial clothed. Deputies located Burris at an apartment and found her to be unable to care for herself. She was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. TRAFFIC CRASH: Richard Bryant, Greenfield was north bound on SR 41 near Barrett Rd, when a deer entered his lane of travel and was struck. The vehicle sustained functional damage but was able to be driven from the scene DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Miami Trace Rd on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of TRAFFIC CRASH: Tenesa Phillips of Hillsboro, Oh was traveling east on US 35 when a deer entered into the path of his vehicle causing a crash. No injuries were reported. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to 1100 block of Miami Trace Rd on a domestic incident. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no violence or threats of violence occurred.
8 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Deputies were dispatched to McDowell St in Bloomingburg, Ohio on a domestic incident. It was determined that violence and an assault had occurred. David McKee 31, of Bloomingburg, Ohio was arrested in the incident TRAFFIC CRASH: A single-car motor vehicle crash was reported on State Street near Carr Road. Francis M. Lucas of Frankfort was cited for Failure to Control. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to a Domestic complaint in Milledgeville, Ohio. Reports indicate that all parties involved were in an argument but that no one was assaulted of threatened during the incident. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deborah Taylor, of Hillsboro was attempting to make a left hand turn on to SR 41 from SR 753, when she lost control of her vehicle on the wet roadway. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway where it became stuck in the field. Taylor was cited for failure to control. THEFT: Employees of Loves reported Joe Baginski, of New York had repairs done to his truck in Love s shop. He stated he wanted to pay for the repairs and fuel in with one transaction. However, the repair bill did not get paid. Baginski was contacted and stated he gave the bill to the clerk but was unaware that it was not added to his fuel bill. Baginski and his company are to contact Love s to make payment THEFT: Christy Bryant of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered her unlocked vehicle and removed items from inside. TRAFFIC CRASH: Anna Ward of Washington CH was traveling east on Old US 35 and lost control of her vehicle. Ward traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch striking a tree. Ward was transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. Ward was issued a citation for Failure to Control. CRIMINAL TRESPASS/ CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Ohio Truck Parts reported person(s) unknown entered onto the property and caused damage to multiple vehicles. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Steven Guess of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown caused damage to a farm field on Camp Grove Rd near Robinson Rd. TRAFFIC CRASH: Anna Ward of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling eastbound on Old Route 35 near Bogus Rd when Ward traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Ward was transported to FCMH for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. Ward was cited for Failure to Control. CPO SERVICE: Deputies served a protection order pursuant to the order of the Court. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Steven Guess of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that person(s) unknown drove through a planted field on Robinson Rd near Bogus Rd. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Richard Long of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown caused damage to the window of his vehicle.
9 MISSING PERSON: A person was reported missing from a residence in Jeffersonville. Deputies later made contact with the subject. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Deputies made contact with a respondent in a protection order pursuant to Court order. THEFT: Tara Withers of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed a temporary tag from her vehicle. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Deputies made contact with a respondent in a protection order pursuant to Court order. THEFT: James Luke of Sabina reported person(s) unknown removed a bicycle from his property TRAFFIC CRASH: Cheryl Morris of Bloomingburg, Ohio was traveling northbound in the 1400 block of Old Route 38 when Morris slowed for a vehicle turning into a private drive. Rebecca Butterbaugh of Washington C.H., Ohio was also traveling northbound following Morris. Butterbaugh failed to observe Morris slowing and struck the rear of Morris vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Butterbaugh was cited for ACDA. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Employees of Summer Tree Apartments on N Main St in Jeffersonville reported locating drug paraphernalia. The paraphernalia was collected. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jay Scaggs of London OH was traveling east bound on State Route 435 and attempted to change lanes. Scaggs attempted to pass Costantinos Grigoriadis of Nancy FL who also was traveling east bound. Scaggs failed to observe there was no other lane to pass in and struck Grigoriadis in the left rear of his trailer. Scaggs was cited for marked lanes. No Injuries were reported. DRUG ABUSE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Peddicord Ave on reports of an unresponsive male and female. Nalaxone was administered by EMS and the male and female was transported to a medical facility for treatment TRAFFIC CRASH: Christopher Huston of New Vienna, Oh was traveling west on Miami Trace Rd and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Stafford Rd. Huston proceeded to cross Stafford Rd failing to yield for a vehicle traveling south on Stafford Rd casing a crash. No injuries were reported. Huston was cited for Failure to Yield. TELEPHONE HARRASSMENT: A Williamsburg, Oh resident reported receiving unwanted s and text messages from a known subject. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Jackie Kelly of Bloomingburg reported during a verbal altercation with a family member she was assaulted. Edward Kelly of Bloomingburg was arrested and charged in the matter. MISSING PERSON: Sheriff s deputies responded to US 22 on reports of a missing person. Deputies were advised that a female had departed the residence around 1500 hours in route to Circleville and has not arrived. Female was later located.

TRAFFIC CRASH: A three-car motor vehicle crash was reported on U S Rte 22 West at the Jamison Road intersection. Ronnie W. Parks of Hillsboro was cited for Failure to Yield. TRAFFIC CRASH: A single-car motor vehicle crash was reported near 7566 S R 38. Brandon R. Nicklas of Bloomingburg was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: A single-car motor vehicle crash was reported on U S rte 62 North near Bloomingburg-New Holland Road. BREAKING & ENTERING; THEFT: Mark A. Roberts of New Holland reported persons unknown entered his detached garage removing several items. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Two family members were reportedly involved in a verbal dispute in Jeffersonville. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Sarah Snapp of Saint Paris Oh reported she received unwanted phone calls from unknown person(s). DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to a residence on State Route 38 in reference to a verbal dispute. After completion of the investigation it was determined no verbal threats or physical assault occurred TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert Hamm of Columbus was traveling south bound on State Route 38 when a deer entered the roadway causing a collision. No injuries were reported. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Michael Fautale of Jeffersonville reported unknown person(s) damaged his vehicle while parked unoccupied on N Main St in Jeffersonville. TRAFFIC CRASH: A single-car motor vehicle crash was reported on U S Rte 62 South near Snow Hill Road. Harry W. Arias Jr. of Leesburg was cited for Failure to Control.
