1 MEDINA POLICE REPORT MAY 23, 2016 TO MAY 29, 2016 ( ) Drunk Problem Reported: Report of a male stumbling out in the street and damaging construction materials. Officer located the male who was agitated and confrontational. No damage was found in the area. 500 block Clydesdale Circle, Medina Reported: ) Animal Complaint Reported that a cat was dead; being eaten by a dog. 900 block Medina Road, Medina ( ) No Pay Reported: Loss: $17.51 worth of fuel block Baker Park Road, Medina ) No Pay Reported: Loss: $10.00 worth of fuel. 200 block Highway 55, Medina Reported: 05- ( ) Traffic/Complain Report of a driver weaving within the lane of traffic. Driver was stopped and admitted to talking on the phone to a client and may have weaved a little bit. He was issued a verbal warning. Highway 55 and County Road 101, Medina ( ) Suspicious Act Police located an occupied vehicle in the parking lot of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church. Identified both parties, not suspected of committing any crime Cox Trail, Medina ) No Pay Loss: $38.50 worth of fuel block Baker Park Road, Medina ( ) Fraud Report Resident reported she applied for a Pay Day loan for $200. A few days later, she received a text from Advance America about getting a $1,000 to $10,000 loan. She returned the callback
2 number and was going to get a $1,000 loan; $491 was deposited into her checking account. Later, the loan company contacted her and she was asked to wire $420 back to them. While at Walmart getting a money wire, the clerk informed her that she believed that she was being scammed and to contact the police. Luckily, she was not out any money. 500 block Clydesdale Circle, Medina ) Animal Complaint block Walnut Street, Medina ( ) Animal Complaint - Cat Resident reported a neighbor s cat has attacked an oriole block Lakeshore Avenue, Medina ) Traffic/Complain Report of a driver weaving over the center and fog line. Police identified the driver who said he was tired. No signs of impairment; driver was advised. Highway 55 and Willow Drive, Medina ) Damage Prop/Rpt Reported that somebody had driven up off the shoulder of the road and onto the grass. There was no damage; however, the reporting party was concerned about his garden and requested extra patrol. 900 block Hamel Road, Medina ( ) Animal Complaint Report of a dog at large, defecating on the neighbor s property block Butternut Drive, Medina ( ) Fraud Report Resident stopped in to the police department to report that he received a call from an individual claiming that he was from the IRS; indicating that he had won a grant for $11,000 and asking for his bank account to deposit the money. He felt that it was a scam after googling the phone number and it indicated it was related to IRS scams. There was no loss. 500 block Clydesdale Circle, Medina ( ) Shots Heard Resident reported hearing possible shots from a residence west of her residence. Police were
3 able to make contact with the neighbor who said they were doing work on the house and had been using a sledgehammer on the exterior of the home. 800 block Hamel Road, Medina ( ) Theft - Stolen Boat Reported: Resident said he left his boat at Straight Line Auto in June of 2015, and just found that his boat is gone. 700 block Tower Drive, Medina ( ) Fraud - Credit card Reported: Report of three fraudulent charges on resident s credit card block Tamarack Drive, Medina ( ) Suspicious Act Reported: Individual reported that he was walking past the park when he saw a male, approximately 50 years old, sitting in a car near the park, taking pictures or videos of kids walking by. There was also a male sitting in the passenger seat, approximately 13 years old. The vehicle and individuals were not located by police. 900 block Foxberry Farms Road, Medina ( ) Lift Assist Reported: Report of a resident who fell and needed assistance getting back into his wheelchair. 100 block Clydesdale Trail, Medina ( ) No Pay Reported: Loss: $35 worth of gasoline. 700 block Highway 55, Medina ) Car/Stalled Reported: Truck was stalled in the traffic lane. The driver contacted Kelly's towing and the vehicle was removed. County Road 101 and Highway 55, Medina ) Fraud - Credit Card Reported: Resident reported that someone attempted to open several credits cards in his name. 100 block Chippewa Road, Loretto ( ) Customer Trouble Reported: Individual said he saw a male inside the store hassling employees. Individual was in the drive-
4 thru and said employees told him the male was causing a disruption; the male had also removed two chairs from inside and placed them in his truck. Police went inside and spoke with the customer. He was upset because he was overcharged and it took employees too long to prepare his food. He said he asked for a refund and employees told him there was not a manager on site to help him. He said he took the chairs outside in hopes of motivating employees to meet his request. He was told to return the chairs to the store or he could be charged with theft. Employees were able to refund his money. He was also told he should take any complaints up with an upper level manager or the corporate office rather than causing a scene in the store. 700 block Highway 55, Medina ( ) Motorist Assist Reported: Vehicle would not idle; appeared the alternator was not working. Tow was ordered block County Road 24, Medina ( ) Assist/Police Reported: Reported that a female was dropped off at the intersection by her boyfriend and needed assistance. While police were en route to the area, the female called dispatch and said she was at her boyfriend s house and help was no longer needed. Police located the female standing on the side of the road. She was crying and appeared to be intoxicated. She said she had been in a verbal argument with her boyfriend; however, she did not wish to pursue the incident any further. Police gave her a ride to her residence in Plymouth. Elm Creek Drive and Hamel Road, Medina ) Fraud Activity Reported: Victim called the police department to report fraud charges on her credit card. Card was used at Office Max. Total reported loss is $ block Clydesdale Trail, Medina ( ) Suspicious Act Reported: Police responded to the report of suspicious activity. Individual was reporting a Jeep had been following him for ten miles. He lost visual contact with the vehicle as he pulled into the Holiday lot. He later called back and advised he had located the vehicle in the lot at Collision Corner in Maple Plain. He spoke with an employee there and the employee said he was following him because he saw that he was driving slowly by and thought he was suspicious. Everything was now fine and police were no longer needed Baker Park Rd Medina ( ) Underage Drinking Party Underage Reported: Consumption of Alcohol Juveniles and underage individuals were cited. Host, Cody Ward, was also cited for violation of the social host ordinance.

Driver said they were low on gas block Highway 55, Medina ) Litter/Dumping Reported: Reported that someone had dumped a load of clay blocks just outside of the lot gate. Reporting party suspects the individual who had tried to dump a load the night before but was advised that the lot was closed and could return the following day. This individual had left his name and phone number prior to be told to come back. Officer called the phone number given. The clay blocks were removed block Prairie Drive, Medina ( ) Traffic/Complain Reported: Reported that a vehicle was all over the road. Driver was located by police; driver was bringing his girlfriend home. Police did not see any signs of impairment; driver was unaware that he was swerving. He was advised to pay attention to his driving. Highway 55 and Mohawk Drive, Medina Reported: ( ) Locked Out/In Vehicle was opened with no apparent damage to the vehicle. 100 block Railway Street W., Loretto ) Disturbance Reported: Reported disturbance which turned out to be the reporting party from related vehicle lockout.

Highway 55 and County Road 19, Medina Names Involved (Arrested) Perisian, Joshua Robert, from Buffalo (Age:35) ( ) Vehcl Abandoned Reported: Abandon vehicle in the lot of the American Legion. There was a concern that the vehicle would be in the way of a Memorial Day event. Police were able to find a phone number for the registered owner. Vehicle was moved. 00 block Hamel Road, Medina ( ) Assault/Rpt Reported: Reported that a co-worker had been pushed. 800 block Highway 55, Medina ) Car/Stalled Reported: Police stopped and checked on a vehicle pulled over on side of road. Driver stated he had called his father with a trailer to come and get him. Highway 55 and Tamarack Drive, Medina ) Suspicious Act Reported: Police were dispatched to check the area behind Target for a male walking through the backyards and in the woods behind a home on Cherry Hill Trail. Police were able locate a male that matched the description walking in the parking lot by Jimmy's Pizza. The male was identified; he said he was homeless. Police offered to transport him to a shelter; he stated that he did not like to go there because of the sex and drug abuse. He was advised that he would have to leave the area because he was trespassing. 300 block Clydesdale Trail, Medina ) Hangup 911 Reported: Dispatched to a 911 hang up in West Financial. There was no voic option on call back. The area was checked; found no issues. 100 block Westfalen Trail, Medina ( ) Unwanted Person Reported: Dispatched to unwanted homeless person in the area of the Holiday. Subject had been called on
7 earlier in the day for walking through yards in the area. Contact was made with subject and he was asked to move on. 200 block Highway 55, Medina ( ) Hangup 911 Reported: Determined to be a pocket dial block Ardmore Avenue, Medina ( ) Suspicious Act Reported: Police were dispatched to a suspicious person in the Lions Park in Loretto. Resident reported seeing a white male with a long beard in the area of the picnic tables and reported he was "staring her down" as she tried to pull into her driveway. Male was not located. Saint John Street, Loretto ( ) No Pay - Assist Only Reported: Employee said that she did not believe it was an intentional drive off and that the person associated with the vehicle did come in the store.
