2 2 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Happy New Year! Remember that old Ray Stevens song The Streak? There is a line that says Here he comes...there he goes. That to me is what happened to Along the way we shared some high points and there were a few lows and disappointments. But all that is our history now, and a brand new 2017 is right in front of us. Gail and I have no idea what this year will bring us, but we intend to head into it with all the energy and hope and trust that we can muster. We will meet it head on and accept the fact that, regardless of the past, the future will be something new for us. Here at Carriage Manor we will get to know a new Board of Directors and new leadership. It appears we will continue to welcome many new residents and visitors. I hope we all realize we MANAGER S MESSAGE Happy New Year! I would first like to welcome and thank all of the renters who have chosen Carriage Manor for this year s visit to Arizona. Staff, Board of Directors, and property owners all hope you enjoy all that the resort offers. The 2017 Budget is available on the website www. carriagemanorrv.com and at the Administrative Office. The monthly assessment will stay at $ monthly for 2017, with payments due on the first of each month. If you have any questions regarding your monthly assessments or account balance, please contact the Administrative Office. If you are a current renter considering purchasing property in Carriage Manor, please be certain to use Carriage Manor Realty as your Buyer s Representative. Our agents are available to show properties listed with Carriage Manor Realty and any other outside brokerage. It is important to remember: only transactions involving Carriage Manor Realty keep commission dollars inside your Resort. If you are a current owner in need of real estate services, utilize the brokerage that you already own. The Patio Grille provides a Full Menu for Breakfast and Lunch with Daily Specials Monday thru Friday. It s a great place to meet up with existing friends and neighbors, or meet some new ones as well. The Activity Office, in conjunction with the Activity Committee has performances scheduled with quality entertainers. We ll be having a performance titled Teen Idols a dance with the Thaddeus January 2017 are really blessed to be able to spend time in this special environment and weather plus the ability to meet new friends from all over this country, and Canada too. Do we really realize the number of persons that would love to trade places with us.. It really is time to give thanks for our good fortune and look to how we can share a smile, an encouraging word or even a contribution to a cause that will help to make someone s day or life a reason to be.. Since I have to write this letter quite a while before publication, it s hard to make comment on the immediate past holidays. I would hope you paid tribute to the real reason for Christmas. I hope you were able to make contact or visit with good family or friends. As we move into the new year just remember that Gail and I continue to wish you enough Bill Whiteman President of the Board Rose Band and the Ladies Luncheon in January. A Valentine s show with Duane Moore and Mogollon in February and the first weekend in March is our annual Carriage Manor Days, to include a dinner show with One of These Nights a tribute to the Eagles. Please remember, each of the above departments solely serve the community of Carriage Manor, with many of the services provided being non-income generating. The Realty office often handles inquiries regarding Real Estate processes and Family Trusts in the State of Arizona, the Activity office schedules rooms for Club meetings and events, as well as Association sponsored complimentary events like the Welcome Back, Veteran s Day, and the Patio Grill supports the clubs thru menu suggestions for club banquets, and club food orders, etc., etc. etc. When residents patronize the in house services provided, those profits directly benefit the community of Carriage Manor financially. Those same profits are forfeited when residents patronize outside sources for these same services. I encourage you to get excited, and get involved with the many happenings that the Activities Committee and Clubs have scheduled for you in In addition to the Activity sponsored events the club s will be having their traditional events like, Billiard s Spaghetti dinner, Tennis Chicken Dinner, Pickleball s Wild Willy s Roast Beef, as well as all of the traditional club fundraisers, Woodshops Burgers, Horseshoes Pizza, Golf Pancake Breakfast and on and on. Have fun! Mary K. Candelaria General Manager ADMIN NEWS Happy New Year Everyone! Oh how the years fly by, I hope you all had a wonderful and safe holiday. Please remember to come to the office to check in when you arrive or leave. It is very important for us to be aware if you are onsite. Remember it s time to renew the 2017 Weed Abatement program. You must sign up annually as you do not auto-renew if you were on last year. The Carriage Manor Weed program only costs $100, for service Jan Dec 2017, sign up now for the biggest savings! I realize the weeds are not too bad this time of year, but in July and August when the temps reach 115 degrees the weeds grow here like in a greenhouse hot with monsoon moisture! I hope you all have a great season, Lorri Blankenship Administration

Section 3 is Tuesdays and Fridays. Section 1, 2 and 3 Recycle is Wednesdays. Please have all items bagged and on the ribbon curb by 8 am. Please NO yard waste. KITCHEN/ HOUSEHOLD trash ONLY. Please remember that the trash crew is made up entirely of your fellow RETIRED neighbors. Please DO NOT OVERFILL bags. Recycle needs to be bagged as follows: Paper and cardboard together. Aluminum cans, tin cans and plastics together. Please try to refrain from driving down to the compactor for one bag of trash. It is very congested down here at the trash compactor. Thank you! Dave Wright Physical Properties Manager CHIEF S CONCERNS Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season, it was quiet busy in the Security Department with all the relatives and friends coming in for the holidays needing parking passes and giving direction assistance to get to different places in the valley areas. I realize that this statement is getting a lot of driving time, although some folks to date still seem confused in regards to contractors entering the resort to perform work for our residents. If your residence is in the unrestricted status, it is unrestricted for friends and visitors it is NOT unrestricted for the contractors, ALL contractors must be called into Security in order to obtain an entry permit. If they are going to be doing a job for a week please advise the Security Department of this information. We will make out the permit to cover the days requested and the home owner will not be required to notify security each day they will be entering the resort. If there is a couple of days after the permit expires the resident will then have to call in for a new permit. If there are any questions in regards to the permitting system, please call the chief of security at or cell # Terry R. Friebohle Chief of Security GLASS RECYCLING We do NOT have glass recycling.
