3 Chapter Overview PMI Kerala Chapter is part of Region-11 of PMI covering India with 8 chapters and 6 chapters from Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan Our Chapter was established in August 2003 with just 15 members The objectives of the Chapter are : 1.Create a common platform for the Project Management professionals in Kerala to meet on a periodical basis and share knowledge and experience 2.Promote globally accepted and standardized best practices of project management towards project excellence. 3.Build professionalism in project management by promoting standards and credentials from PMI and involve more professionals in contributing towards the continued growth of the profession. As of 15 March 2016, there are 504 members in the Chapter

Participated in the 3 month campaign from October to December 31 organized by PMI India which helped. Mailers sent to executives from various B Schools who are interested to join PMI. New members from Cochin Shipyard, Synthite and Middle East.

18 Professional Development Day Usage of Lean Construction practices and Project Management concepts in construction projects Speaker: Tony Jacob, Director, Constask Management Solutions, LLP ( Profile: Tony has 13+ years experience in Construction industry working as Management Consultant helping the construction industry implement best practices from Lean Construction, Project Management, Business Analysis and Collaborative Partnering. His prior experience includes working with MNCs like Bovis Lend Lease, Jones Lang LaSalle, Kuwait United Development, Space Matrix, Aconex, StraVis, BT&BT, etc. Tony is also a Director of PMI Pearl City Chapter, Hyderabad. 22 Project Management Regional Conference 2016 Second Edition of Project Management Regional Conference was jointly hosted by PMI Kerala and PMI Chennai chapters About 300 delegates participated in the conference held at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Kochi on 13 Feb 2016 Inaugurated by Cmdr G Prakash, Indian Navy. Shri V J Kurian, MD CIAL was Guest of Honour Distinguished speakers from Defence, IT, Government, and Private sectors

23 PMRC 2016 Feedback Survey Results More than 30% of the delegates responded to the feedback survey Encouraging statistics based on the responses received: 94% found the overall conference excellent 79% found the key note sessions excellent 75% said they would definitely attend next year 96% will recommend the conference to peers/friends 94% found the event was managed excellently
